Magnet Science, June 7, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Magnet Science (Paperback)
Magnet Science is a really great book for teaching about magnetism. It contains about 2 dozen experiments and instructions for making about a dozen games using magnetism. While it is completely satisfactory for high school students, my five year old son is totally fascinated by the experiments. The materials used are easy to find at a hardware store and we found many of them located in our home. The book shows you how to make magnets out of nails, electromagnets, Compasses, Dynamos, and Motors. And, it shows you how to see magnetic fields using iron filings. There are also instructions for making several games using magnets that children would really enjoy. We're definitely sold. Hope you are too!
