5.0 out of 5 stars Long live "too loud" McCloud
I love to listen to Brian McCloud. He was a great musician. His legacy lives on with Chilliwack, Headpins, and with Chrissy. He co-wrote all the songs except one, engineered, produced, and played guitar on this album. Miss Steele can sing with the best. From her gut wrenching vocals on Move over to her sweet sounding voice on Love don't last and Cry myself to sleep. The...

3.0 out of 5 stars Rock On
Chrissy Steele was another one of the "too tough for pop" rocker chicks that seemed to be everywhere in the first couple years of the `90s. Like similar artists Saraya, Harlow, Cell Mates, Robin Beck, Skew Siskin, and especially Headpins, Chrissy Steele's music was pretty straightforward rock & roll that bordered on being AOR. Steele's voice was tough without sounding...

One album isn't enough from her. Chrissy where are you??? It's really too bad grunge ruined everything. this was $$$$ well spent. And she's easy on the eyes too.

Just what I had expected...good solid rockin' backbeat...great guitar with strong vocals to match...I have always been a fan of Brian (Too Loud) MacLeod's work and I am very happy to add this CD to my collection. Thanks to my friends on Vancouver Island for turning me on to it. Thanks to Amazon for getting me this slightly dated CD so quick. Chrissie Steele Rocks! I would like to hear more of her. Chrissie's vocals are comparable to other notable female rockers of that time period such as Sass Jordan, Nancy Wilson or Pat Benatar in my humble opion. It is tragic that Mr. Macleod is not here on this earth to share his gift with us....Damn Cancers......Rock On Chrissie Steele wherever you are!!

I have personaly meet Chrissy and she is a fantastic lady. Her music is just plain great old style rock, kinda like Pat Benatar's earlier stuff. If you get chane to listen to this CD I don't think you will be disapointed. I have an autographed copy and just wish to retire it. Can't really pick a favorite track as I like them all. Is too bad she didn't take off in the states. We are missing out on a great rocker because of it.

Steele's voice was tough without sounding raspy, and seems perfectly suited to this type of music.

If you like Headpins (anybody remember them?) then you will like this. Brian Macleod, the guitarist for Headpins, formed this band. The vocalist is a dead-ringer for Darby Mills.
