5.0 out of 5 stars Great toy for developing different skills!, May 5, 2004

We first learned about this puzzle when our son's speech therapist brought it over one day. He loved it so much we had to rush out to buy it! He started playing with it at 18 months and is now almost three and still loves it. During this time, he has played with it in so many different ways. First, he enjoyed playing peekaboo with it. Then, he progressed to knocking on the door and asking if anyone was home. He also finds it hysterical when you put the pieces in the wrong places. It's been a great tool for us to encourage his language development, not to mention that it's lots of fun too.

I bought this for my daughter for her first plane flight; she was 17 months old at the time and the flight was 5 hours long. I kept the puzzle hidden until we got on the plane, and she was immediately entranced. It held her attention and she could play with it while in her car seat, giving Mom and Dad a break. Two months later it's still a sure bet to hold her attention for a while.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Puzzle for Preschool Classroom, May 24, 2005
This review is from: Magnetic Hide n Seek Doors (Toy)
I am a preschool teacher, and I bought this puzzle for my classroom. The kids just love it, and it is a great sorting game for my cognitive center. My kids are very hard on toys and it has withstood a lot of tough handling.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!, January 3, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Magnetic Hide n Seek Doors (Toy)
Based on the recommendations from other reviewers, we bought this for our niece (20 mo.) She refuses to play with anything age appropriate, refuses to have anything to do with dolls, toys, or stuffed animals. But she LOVED this puzzle! I'm ordering another for my nephew for his birthday. Clearly a winner.

My little one is 19 months old and we have had this toy since she was about 10 months old. She loves it and long ago memorized all the pieces' names and where they went. She is so interested in opening and shutting things but just about everything is too hard to open or close for a little baby. She loves the Knight especially and we find him all over the house. This is truly a favorite.

My 16-month old received this toy as a gift and he loves it! It keeps his attention, and he comes back to it every day. A few of the pieces are small, so we must watch him closely while he plays with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous puzzle!, October 9, 2005

I bought this toy for my little one just shortly after her first birthday. She loved it. She has always been fascinated with opening and closing doors, so this kept her entertained for long periods of time. It didn't take her long to learn how to take the pieces out and remember where each one goes. Now, almost a year later, she still plays with this puzzle.

I bought this puzzle for my 10 month old son. Although he is too young to manage the small pieces, he enjoys opening and closing the doors. We use the animals underneath to make animal sounds. This toy has tons of possibilities -- as do most of the Lights, Camera, Imagination toys. Great for teaching concepts such as: on/off, open/close, in/out, matching, fine motor, etc... Although it is rated for ages 3+, it is suitable for the cognitive skills of younger children, too.

My son is 18 months old and he loves this toy. He puts the pieces on the fridge. He spents a lot of time with this toy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another rave review, April 27, 2006
This review is from: Magnetic Hide n Seek Doors (Toy)
I bought this for my son when he was 14-months-old. We have had two solid months of play so far. I swap-out most of his toys every couple of weeks so they stay "fresh" to him. This toy has yet to go stale. He plays with it for longer periods of time than any other toy. He loves opening and closing the doors. He recently discovered that the magnets will attach to the fridge and the baby gate & thinks that is hysterical. Right now it is more about what physically fits where. I expect his next step will be learning that the dog belongs in the dog house and the flowers belong in the garden (etc). It seems to be a durable toy, too. No noises, bells, whistles; just pure fun.
