Nothing to complain about here. Installed with a couple of screws, very sturdy. Looks good -- better than the all-metal variations, in my opinion. The magnet is more than strong enough for our biggest knives. Would buy again.

I rarely remember to write reviews- love or hate. However, this product was very memorable. One end of the wood frame was not attached coming right out of the box! The metal and magnetic strips are not attached to the wood base. When I take off a knife, the components come right out! I mounted it, to see if having more knives on it would keep the components in place when removing one knife. Nope! This product as it is is very UNSAFE! I tried sliding my knives off, instead of pulling, but I don't think I want to risk the surfaces of my high quality knives over this poorly manufactured display. I am thinking about taking the components apart, cleaning and sanding, and securing with epoxy. In the end, I will likely be going to Williams-Sonoma (or the like) and paying more for something that works. Judging by the various reviews on this product, it sounds like their manufacturing is not dependable. Therefore, I would opt for a trusted brand on this type of product. Hope this helps!

Ordered 4: One frame had a broken end. An other had fuzz and plastic stuck to the surace. A third had some gooey foreign body between frame and magnets. All had miss matched insulation strips bewteen magnet strips. Made in Taiwan. Why can't we use all the immigrant talent to make things in the US. Magnets could be stronger.
