Not as steady as the ellipticals in a gym, but it is secure. You can get a good workout. One of the machine screws would not fit into a hole in the center pole, but it does not seems to affect the performance.

Recumbent bike easy and fun to assemble, went together with no problem. Seems serviceable and sturdy and I expect it to have a long and useful life.
