Flawed design. Try Mag-Warriors instead.,
This review is from: Magna-Man Future Warrior Robotor (Toy)
I agonized over whether to purchase these or Mag-Warriors (from Mega Bloks) as gifts for my 7-year-old, and ended up getting a few of each. Well, the Magnamen just don't hold together (Mag-Warriors do), and if you rotate the pieces to optimize magnetic attraction, you end up with odd figures indeed (e.g., with feet pointing to the sides instead of straight ahead). Sometimes the optimal attraction occurs at a rotation at which the pieces cannot fit together because the shape of the plastic obstructs them. And even at best some of the pieces fall off when you pick up the figures. These are fun to put together but ultimately frustrating. The fact that Rose Art released these before they were ready for prime time reflects poorly on the company. Mag-Warriors, on the other hand, are successfully designed. They are slightly smaller than the Magnamen and nicely detailed. Magnamen are also nice looking, but in more of a translucent plastic (rather than painted metallo-plastic like Mag-Warriors) way. Skip these in favor of the Mag-Warriors, which also come with a metal base that helps to stand the figures up.

Santa brought three of these MagnaMen to our stockings on Christmas morning... the red one came out of the package broken and the blue ones were not far behind. We generally LOVE Rose Art Magnetix products. These definitely do not live up to Rose Arts previously released products. The plastic components are cheap and the magnetic balls don't really stick. The sockets break off from the joint, and even when the components remained intact, the magnets are too weak to maintain the integrity of the joint. My son and daughter, ages 5 and 6, were incredibly disappointed and extremely frustrated. It almost seems as though Rose Art failed to test these products before marketing them. Nothing about them lived up to my expectations. Definitely a waste of money.

not a typical magnetix product!,
This review is from: Magna-Man Future Warrior Robotor (Toy)
This is a really disappointing purchase. the magnets DO NOT STICK TOGETHER, making this toy impossible to assemble--much less to play with! We love magnetix building toys in our house, but this one is a DUD!!
