5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent developmental toy
This toy is great to spur kid's imagination. I was really impressed by all the things my 4 year old build. This toy kept him busy for hours.

2.0 out of 5 stars BUY BLOCKS INSTEAD!
Okay, tried this out with a five and seven year old. Both of them tired of it within fifteen minutes. I mean, how many "snowflakes" can a person make?

5.0 out of 5 stars Even Better than Legos!, February 3, 2006
By

If you have a little builder in your house, be SURE to buy these! I originally bought the little 20-piece starter set at my local kroger store and boy, were they a hit! The only problem that I can find with these things is that someone out there NEEDS TO DESIGN A CONTAINER for these things! Boy, I've been finding these things everywhere. Other than that, they are just superb. My little one spends hours and hours building things with this set and just cannot wait to get up in the morning to see what else he can make. They're great for preschoolers learning fine motor skills too and not as limiting as Legos can be. I highly recommend these things - my husband loves playing with them as much as my little one does. Boy, the things they can build with these things! Ferris wheels, garbage trucks, towers, geometric shapes, etc., etc., etc. Great, great toy - we're buying more! Oh, as far as that container thing is concerned, we put ours in a coffee can. They stick to the sides and don't fall out! Great Toy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Creative fun, May 5, 2005

My 5 year old got this as a present. I was amazed at the creative things he made! My 3 year old joined in the fun by making letters of the alphabet. I highly recommend this. Note that these magnets are heavy. If your child throws things, these would REALLY hurt or damage something.

5.0 out of 5 stars FABULOUS, October 11, 2005

This is a fabulous toy. My child was not big on "legos" but I wanted her to have something that involved using fine motor skills, spatial thinking etc. and was FUN. This fits the bill. It is portable and easy to travel with if visiting family, and the possibilities are endless. Great invention!

I love this product. Of all the toys I've ever bought my seven year old, this one is the best and the least expensive!! My only complaint is that there is no booklet that came with it to give him some ideas to help create some things. That would have been nice.

My son has these at preschool and loves them. I purchased these for him for Christmas. We play with them together and have such fun seeing the different shapes we can come up with. They are small, but great for hand/eye coordination for little hands. I would also recommend playing on carpet, as they are marbles and will roll everywhere. Great Toy

My 12 year old has spent hours designing and building structures with the Magnetix toys. He wasn't much interested a few years ago but he's crazy about them now. My only complaints are 1) no matter what I give him to hold the things they are always spread across the den floor and 2) the newer ones seem to be slightly different sized than the older ones making building more complex.
