One of my favorite albums,
By
This review is from: Magnificent Adventures of Heartache & Other Frightening Tales (Audio CD)
Simply put this is one of my favorite albums. To the reviewer who left a stark negative review saying, "avoid unless you're a girl with your first boyfriend ...", well I'm not that. I'm a male in my mid/late 20s. The other reviewer who positively described his music as "honest" is right on point. Jason is one of those people who is an all around artist... in an age of cookie-cutter teen pop stars.
He is an extremely talented song writer, and an extremely talented guitarist. His mellow voice that soothes the easy-tracks and lends energy when and where the upbeat tracks needs it - make for a great album from start to finish. Its laid back ("Reaching"), its also high energy ("Gasoline"), upbeat ("Never Find Again"), its acoustic, its heartfelt ("You in a Song"). As a real fan I was concerned that Jason's talent would be inhibited by a major record label, instead it was refined. Take a listen for yourself. If you like music to relax to, to drive to, to sing-along to ... this is it.

Fabulous!,

I saw him in concert with Colbie Caillat a couple of years ago and was blown away by his talent. I then bought his cd and fell in love with it and still listen to it every week. Can't help but feel good when it's on....and to think he wrote all these songs himself makes me love them more. If you like James Taylor music you will LOVE Jason Reeves.

A MALE COLBIE CAILLAT,
By
This review is from: Magnificent Adventures of Heartache & Other Frightening Tales (Audio CD)
This is a decent album with the singer-songwriter vibe that I love. It's a bit poppier than most of the acoustic artists out there, reminding me of a male Colbie Caillat. LOVE "New Hampshire." Not my go-to CD, but definitely a great one for my collection: Worth every dollar.
