Timothy A. Rowe was born in Mansfield, Ohio and his father was a missionary in Liberia, Africa for a few years when he was three years old. His father taught him the value of all people as his father was a friend of Martin Luther King, Jr., and marched with Robert Kennedy. He attended the University of California-Berkeley and Indiana University. He graduated with a B.A. with distinction in History and Classics from Indiana University, and graduated cum laude from Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis. He has been a partner in the law firm of Rowe & Hamilton for 25 years. He hosts a weekly TV show called "Faith and the Law" on Lesea Channel 40 in Indiana. The website for the show is www.faithandthelaw.com. He also hosted a weekly radio program - "You and the Law" - on WKLU 101.9 and WXNT 1430 in Indianapolis, and on Thunder 103.9 FM in Crawfordsville for 5 years. He is passionate about bringing justice to people's lives and helping to make the legal system better and more productive. But at the center of his heart was always a deep love and respect for the Bible and a heartfelt relationship and intimacy with His Heavenly Father. He writes with a passion and emotion for God and has a timely and revolutionary message for the world. He has spoken all around the United States and Canada on justice and a passion for the law, but his first love has always been the amazing and extraordinary truth of the Scriptures that have the power to set a person free in mind, soul, heart and body. "The Magnificent Goodness of God and How it Will Transform Your Life" is his first book and he believes that the message is so profound that it can truly change your life.
This book is a life changing book. The author does a great job of setting forth the truths that will help you tap into God's never changing goodness and what that means for you and it is all based in scripture. I don't think anyone has ever even begun to set it forth as clearly and profitably as Timothy Rowe does in this book. There are very few books I have ever read that have touched me like this book. God is good!!!!!!! Always good! Never changing from good! The more we believe it the more we will see God work mighty things in our lives. Thank you Mr. Rowe and I am sure that God inspired you to truly present before people just how good God is!
Ok so first of all, let's be real here for a minute. I am going to give this book it's proper review. Your first impression of this book is the following: Why is it so big? Wow... that is a lot of pages! Is this my college textbook? I wonder if the author is on the front cover? This is a really long title! This book seriously is worth buying....end of story. I am a writer and seriously hate reading books that are a waste of my time and filled with useless information. This book will change your life, open your eyes, and even bring you to your knees. I found myself crying through many chapters. I seriously would just give you my book, but it is ruined due to all my tears, so you just need to buy it. It will be worth every penny. The goodness of God is something that is not talked enough about in churches across America. The authors words will seriously captivate you. His creative chapters will draw you in deeper longing for an intimate relationship with our good God. Tim Rowe is a talented and anointed writer. His passion and heart shines through the entire book. This book is God breathed and God written. The words come straight from the Heart of God. I agree with the author...The goodness of God is truly Magnificent and yes I agree it can transform your life.
I am an avid reader and a great student of the Bible and great inspirational books. Though raised in a Christian home and in my adult life I've spent serious time searching for God, I still had a nagging discord in my heart because I did not understand his love and questioned his goodness. I needed someone who knew God to introduce me to Him and help me get to know Him, without all the meaningless religious phrases and explanations, and I feel the author has done that for me.
The author, an attorney, presented his case well, based on God's own Word. First he established the validity of the Word of God. Then awed me with the depth of how good our God is. Next he gave the context of the entry of sin into our world and its consequences we face daily. He finishes with God's purpose for us. And it is an inspiring and stunningly wonderful way to live.
This is the "Good News," "The Gospel," the "Plan of Salvation" I've always heard about and knew but never really grasped. I now measure every other book or sermon on this Good News of God's love and intent for my life.
This has cleared up many barriers, some unrecognized, about God and my life. With such good news I am free to enjoy a peace and comfort that no formula for stress release could ever produce. It gave me clarity about our spiritual warfare. It's dissolved my useless striving to unconsciously work my way to heaven yet given me the understanding of how to shine brilliantly for God. All my surrounding circumstances must now default to this truth, so clear and convincing, that God is truly magnificently good towards me.
I look forward to a study guide of this book that I hope the author will produce. The one negative is that the book has many typographical errors. Hopefully the next edition will correct these.
I've just starting reading Tim's book and I can't put it down. I'm about a third of the way through it and I find myself going back and reading sections again and again. It's very well-written, although there are some typographical errors that you must overlook. On occasion there's a little redundancy, but perhaps it's all for a reason. Tim has a wonderful way of illustrating complex issues in a very simple-to-understand manner. His work clearly explains some issues I've wondered about for years. Although he's an attorney, you'll not find any "big words" or hard-to-understand passages - it's all very clear and easy to comprehend. This would be a great book for a Bible study or for a discussion group. I highly recommend it.
