5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Sheets You Can Feel Good About
Product fully recommended! I decided to buy these sheets after a friend suggested them. The box arrived promptly. Upon opening, you realize that these are not just off-the-rack generic sheets. 3.0 out of 5 stars Nice, but...
I bought these sheets because I wanted a light gray sheet set for a California King. The sheets are a nice color, but I'm a little disappointed in the texture of them. These are fairly expensive sheets, so I didn't expect them to have a canvas-y feeling. They almost feel like khaki pants. This doesn't necessarily suggest a lack of quality; however, it's not a terribly...

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Sheets You Can Feel Good About, February 24, 2010
Product fully recommended! I decided to buy these sheets after a friend suggested them. The box arrived promptly. Upon opening, you realize that these are not just off-the-rack generic sheets. First, the box is pretty heavy (I was worried they sent me textbooks.) Inside the box was a stylish (and reusable) Magnolia Organics satchel. I plan to use this carry-all on picnics and other outings where both function and form are necessary. The satchel is enclosed with two tortoise-shell type buttons.

Opening the buttons revealed the quality inside... 550 threads per inch of sea foam green sheet! The color was as expected, and closely matched the green foam found on the beautiful beaches of Hawaii. I was worried it would remind me more of the foamy substance on the beaches of Tijuana, but was pleasantly relieved.

The kit consisted of pillowcases, a fitted sheet, and a top sheet. All appeared to have very high quality stitching and fabric-made to last even the most intense tosser-and-turner. They're fully organic as well, so you know you're helping the environment and promoting good business ethics.

I washed the set and eagerly awaited my first use. The sheets came out of the dryer (use low or medium heat only) with a soft crisp feel. I made the bed and went to sleep early. The sheets felt great. I slept very well and didn't experience any discomfort. The sheets stay put without bunching up due to their deep pockets. I had high thread count sheets in the past, and these are much better. They are just as smooth, but seem thicker and more durable.

After only a week of use, I have already received some good feedback on these sheets, so I know a few others are enjoying them as well.

Buy some for yourself, you won't be sorry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Organic Sheets, November 16, 2010
Someone wrote a very negative review stating that these sheets cannot be organic. I have ordered three separate sets of Magnolia Organics sheets, and they have all been of the highest quality, and comfortable. Every single sheet and pillowcase has organic printed on each tag. Non organic sheets and blankets do not have this feature. The negative review seemed like sour grapes. If you don't like the sheets, it is easy to send back because it is shipped directly from Amazon warehouses. I can't believe how nice their products are. I have a hard time believing negative reviews because I have made three separate purchases, and have been unbelievably happy and impressed with all three sets of sheets. They are most definitely high quality, and organic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing addition by Magnolia Organics, April 23, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Since a young age I have had ridiculously sensitive skin. I am allergic to certain sun blocks, lotions, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, make-up, among other skin products. I am also allergic to certain dyes, fabrics, and laundry detergents. A dermatologist recommended that I should wear organic cotton with non-toxic dyes to help with my allergies. As soon as I bought and tried these sheets, I knew I had a part of the solution to my allergy problems. They are the softest and most comfortable sheets I've used, and I wake up with happy skin. I reccomended them to my doctor, and she loves these sheets too! In fact, every time I sleep on them I feel like I am sleeping in the clouds away from all allergens, in a clean and healthy environment.

I definately suggest these sheets...you will wake up feeling refreshed and happy that not only these are better for your skin, but they are of great importance for eliminating toxic dyes and materials that cause great harm to the earth. AHH, I am in love.

Oh, and by the way, Happy Belated Earth day!

These are fairly expensive sheets, so I didn't expect them to have a canvas-y feeling. They almost feel like khaki pants. This doesn't necessarily suggest a lack of quality; however, it's not a terribly luxurious feeling.

Anyhow, hopefully they soften up with more washes. At this price, you can't just fold them up and put them in the attic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Silver Snow Sheets Simply Sensational, March 10, 2010
I ordered these sheets in the silver snow color in king. As other reviewers have commented, the sheets arrive in a delightful reusable shoulder bag and the color is accurately represented in the images on the order page. I ordered these because I subscribe to an organic, natural lifestyle. Upon receipt, I carefully handwashed the sheets. Ordinarily, I would do this in the river, but it is winter and the river is frozen. So I did it in my basement. On the washboard. After allowing the sheets to dry, they felt soft and smelled sweet and fresh. I put them on my bed and waited for night to fall.

At bedtime, I laid down on my new sheets and pressed my face against each of the included pillowcases. Soft. The sheets felt nice in the six or seven various positions that I adopt as sleep approaches. They are really nice sheets whether you sleep on your stomach, your side, your back or in a balled fetal position. 5 stars out of 5, really nice sheets.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Value, July 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These sheets are great value for the money. I got the "natural" color (to try to come as close as possible to "chemical-free" bedding), and they were of good quality. They are fairly thick, and they came in eco-conscious packaging.

The downsides: the organic cotton in these sheets comes from India, which is not known for its high-quality cotton (Egyptian and Turkish cotton are generally considered the best). Also, the under-600 thread count means these aren't super-soft sheets--I'd call them moderately soft (unfortunately, it's next to impossible to find organic sheets with a thread count higher than 600). Anyhow, these are the best that are out there at the moment, unless you want to spend big $$$ for Italian organic cotton sheets by The Purists.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice sheets, November 10, 2010

Very nice, heavy weight. Color fast and didn't shrink like crazy after washing. We are migrating to all organic bedding and these were a great buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Sheets! for chemically sensitive people, November 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased these sheets a few months ago for a Cal. King sized bed. First of all I am so glad that Magnolia Organics makes sheets in the Cal. King size. It is VERY hard to find organic sheets this size. The sheets came (yes, wrapped in plastic) but between the plastic and the sheets is the organic fabric tote bag. Very nice bag by the way. I got the silver snow color and I was surprised at how beautiful it was. Really lovely, soothing color. Once we had them on the bed we were even happier. They are smooth and soft, and the heaviest sheets we have ever owned. They feel very luxurious and decadent, and seem a steal considering the price.

I have had a lot of chemical sensitivities ever since birth. I have eczema that will break out if I sleep in sheets that are heavy in chemical byproducts (either from the detergent they are washed in or if they are new sheets that are conventionally made. This goes for clothes too. I am always cautious about purchasing new sheets but after reading the information on Magnolia's website I felt confident to go ahead. My skin loves these sheets - no breakouts, itching or rashes!

I have never written a review before but the person who gave these sheets a single star prompted me to write. I know, being a chemically sensitive person all my life, that sensitivities can vary wildly from person to person. My guess is that this person is simply extra sensitive to one of the metals/elements used in the manufacturing, which would not affect other people, or even affect people with chemical sensitivities because they don't react to that particular reactant. However, another person might react to the same sheets but because of a DIFFERENT reactant. For example, couches are loaded with chemicals. They are one of the most off gassing items in a house and a major contributor to indoor air pollution. Even "organically made" couches are processed with low impact chemicals, probably more than are in a set of sheets. But this person was able to sleep on a couch and be fine!

It can be a very frustrating thing to be chemically sensitive, it can rule your life sometimes, (I travel with my own sheets, laundry detergent and pillows) but I find it hard to blame organic companies that are truly at the top of the field for sustainable manufacturing for what is most likely just an unavoidable bad match of (sensitive) person and (organic) sheet.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the $$$, February 5, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These sheets are good, but not great. I always buy organic cotton bedding.

We also bought these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004XQWPIW/ref=oh_o02_s00_i00_details

and went back and bought two more sets. The item linked above is much softer and smoother than the 500 threadcount ones. Not to mention they are half the price.
