I'm a service technician and need a safety toe boot with electrical hazard protection thats light and comfortable and durable. I work on heavy machinery and the boot is exposed to alot of water, grease, oil, detergents, etc. I've spent $200 on Redwings and $50 on Bates and numerous in-betweens. For me, you can have the Red-wings (heavy, over-sized) and some of the others weren't durable, falling apart in a couple of months. I've only had these for a month but they're holding up well so far, are extremely comfortable and look good with my uniform. True to size and if you're like me and don't have EEEEE width feet you'll be happy with the fit. Very happy with these, lets hope they last. And they should have added a side-zip closure (I liked this in the Bates boots which were pretty good for the price)

I've worn these Magnum V-Lites for more than 5 years. I wanted a good pair of duty boots that I can wear for more than 10 hours per day. I work in an office and am a weekend warrior. I have many of these in black. These boots look dressy enough to wear with semi-formal wear and yet, they are rugged enough for everyday wear in the office or the workshop. I have two or three pairs that I rotate every day for work and I have an older pair or two that I use for yard work, snow removal, or in the workshop. Each pair usually last about two years for office wear and then they are retired and replaced for use around the yard and house. So each pair lasts about four years for me. They are true to size and are very consistent in quality from pair to pair. I order at least two pairs at a time. Even between different colors, they are consistent in quality. I love the waterproof feature. They are comfortable throughout the day. And they are available at a reasonable price.
