Now I have been wearing them for around a month, and I can say I will buy another replacement pair when this pair is done.

Boots feel great and exactly like what it should feel like. Snug and form fitting. Very comfortable out of the box. A little squeeze at certain places, but since the boots seasoned my feet after an hour or so, I couldn't feel the pinch any more after that.

    Three minor complains are:
It gets a bit warm wearing them after an hour or so. My previous work boots always kept my feet fair cool. I need to be standing in the sun for a fair while before my old boots would heat my feet up. These ones would get warm after standing in them for a few minutes. The saving grace is they do not get much warmer after that. Nevertheless, I worry that should I start to walk or move around in them a lot, it might become too warm and sweaty in there.
Secondly, I find that the side zip only allows me to remove the boots. If I leave the laces done up as I remove the boots, i could not put them back on without untying the laces. What is the point of the side zip then? I want quick on as well as quick off. Perhaps they made the zip length too shallow? The way I solve this issue is to buy an add-on front boot-zip to attach the laces to, but then I now have two sets of zips, one side and one front, and also the boots feel less secure. I will get used to this but it is hardly ideal nor as designed.
Lastly, I found that how ever I laced the boots, the laces were always a bit on the short side. Why would a pair of premium boots come with not-long-enough laces is a mystery. I could finally get the length to work out by skipping eyelets up along each boot, three sets each to be precise. (To me, if I have to re-lace eyelets after putting a boot on, the laces are too short. I don't want to have to pull the lace out of eyelets just so that my foot can fit through the opening.

    Cons:

Within a week of light wear, they already had holes in the toe of both boots, not what I expected of them.

They claim they won't make you feet sweat, but that's a damn lie (after eight hours, my feet smell like concentrated death).

The grip on the sole is not good for wet or oily surfaces (i spend a lot of time in water/oil)

    Pros:

They are decently comfortable, but i would not recommend them, as there are far better brands of boots (i.e. Rocky)

They fit well, for my foot at least, a hair on the loose side, but still comfortable. (no foot flop)

The waterproofing is excellent, but oil remains on the boots for a while; they may look wet, but it won't seep through.
(this is to be expected though, they aren't "oil proof," they're "water proof")

    Summary:

I put the cons first because i'm not a fan of these boots, but they would still work decently for a cop or outdoors work.

However, they are by no means a "work" boot, and they will fall apart on you if you try. Don't use them in the oilfield of in a machine shop, etc. save your money and buy a different pair from a different brand.

My last pair of boots was the Rapid Response (CT, SZ) by Converse, but Converse sold that boot design to Rebock and their quality has become dog ****. They were a great pair of boots though, they lasted about 2 years of heavy work and wear. Comparing those Converse with these boots is much like comparing a station wagon to a Lamborghini. (for hard my uses anyway)

These boots are very comfy after a few hours of wear. They keep your feet warm in the snow and the zipper makes it easy to put them on quickly. This is my second pair the other pair lasted a couple of years of harsh abuse that I put them through daily on the job.

Can't think of a single thing to have a complaint about. These were priced well, fit comfortably, and provide all around protection for my feet.

It feels just like as if you were wearing a pair of running shoes. The first thing I have done extra on the boots prior to their first shift is polishing them till they shine. They look very good. If uou are too lazy, you can just simply polish the leather part of the toes.

One down side of them is the fitting. I wear size 9 for running shoes (8.5 is perfect fitted fit but you need extra room when you go jogging) I got a pair in size 8.5 and the length of my feet fit well, but the toe box were a bit too roomy, thus gave me a few days of tiring feet. However, after I insert an extra insole with arch support into each of the boot, the pair just fit perfectly! Now I have been wearing them for around a month, and I can say I will buy another replacement pair when this pair is done.
