If you own a p-mag you'll know the sturdiness of magpul's polymers. I don't see this breaking any time soon, if ever. Just be aware if you purchase one, that you aren't buying the air soft version (it would say "PTS" in the description if it were). You can't tell in the picture but the front sight post is actually metal.

The sight pops up very quickly, and with a reassuring "snap." If you get the front, I highly recommend the rear as well because they were made for each other.

I ordered it on the 25th and shipping was estimated to be May 5, and I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived today (April 30).

Yeah. Bought this for my airsoft gun which is a classic army m15a4 c.q.b with prometheus 6.03 tight bore barrel all systema interals powered by a magnum motor and 11.1v 1300 mah lipo what!? Switched the rail to a daniel defense free float lite rail. Darn thing is all magpuled out. Then I decided to use it on my Daniel Defense m4 v5 with the free float omega x rail which is all magpuled out with a UBR stock w/ strike plate, magpul foregrip, some ladder rail covers, moe grip all dark earth nickel boron plated the bcg, got a spikes tactical heavy buffer, and wilson combat ttu g trigger did the job great wonderful yeah it works yeah. Then I got $200 and bought the Troy BUIS front and rear put those on much better. Then I put back the front and rear magpul sights on my airsoft gun great everybody's happy now. yeah. So what i'm saying, if you don't get it yet, is that these sights work great yeah awesome yeah. Yeah.
