Check your Magpull Sights from this seller, there" supplyer" Is sending out FAKE sights in there name they are addressing this so they claim, i was sent fake Gen 2 and fake Gen 1 Both COdes on box 100% the same same barcode numbers as well. also you can check the Magpull Logo From there Websight to the sights if u got a gen 2 Look on the back of the rear sight there needs to be windage marks the ones i got are not Plus the Front Sight Should have a Metal Tip( the pa A2 sight) the rear sight rings also should be metal NOT plastic.

Magpul has come up with an inexpensive, durable alternative for rail-mounted back-up iron sights (BUIS). And they ain't iron. These sights are made of a polymer similar to that used for Glock frames. It is tough, takes quite a bit of abuse, and will hold it's zero. At about half the price of similar metal back-up sights, it is quite a bargain. The rear sights are ONLY adjustable for windage. Any elevation adjustments need to be done with the front sight. And as the other reviewer noted, if you want the larger aperture to be your default, you need to leave the smaller one folded over, which causes it to stick up about 1/4 inch higher when the sight is in the down position. They are spring loaded, and will pop up with a touch of the release catch. They also lock into the up position, and will not flop back down under recoil.


Overall I gave this sight a 4 out of 5 stars. The reason it did not get 5 is because of the lack of elevation adjustment and the relative bulk of the sight compared to metal ones. It still sits low enough on the rail to not interfere with most optics. But it is significantly wider and chunkier. For the price and overall durability, this is a good choice. I have sevral of these in black and other colors. They have held up collectively to thousands of rounds without any problems. If I were planning on staking my life on a BUIS, I would go with something else. But for plinking, or a low-cost back up for optics, these work just fine.

Magpul has come out with a great alternative to existing BUISs with this plastic fantastic.

The lock-up seems solid. One disadvantage is that if you want to use the wider ghost ring you will have to flip the small ring out of the way. It sticks out a little bit, so your 'default' sight will be the large ring.

These sights are absolutely perfect for an assault rifle platform. They seem to sit exactly where they are supposed to and although they are plastic they are superbly durable and seem to hold up to, what mild, the abuse I have thrown at it and still stay on target.

Great Back-up sight for the money. Magpul puts out high quality gear. the sight works perfectly when incorporated with an EOtech 552 holo sight. easy to use, easy to install.

First of all I have to say the company from amazon market place sent the item out at light speed. I expected the item to be at least another two or three days (wow). As for the sight its a magpul, and quality from this company is #1. thank you again for the fast service .

Ok so I am not overly frugal but let me start out by saying I didn't feel like spending 150+ dollars on a BUIS. I know that you shouldn't skimp on something that may one day save your life (I am one of the few people I know who actually spend a ton of money on their self defense premium ammo and shoot mags worth thru the gun before trusting its function) but I just couldn't do it. I was very happy when I discovered Magpuls' rear BUIS! I have had mine mounted on a Bravo Company upper for a year now and after many shooting trips and action competitions it hasn't budged, broke, or lost its zero. The sight still flips up with authority when it is needed and although I wouldn't use it for a 600 yard competition, it works great as a backup on man size targets out to 200 yards. I have it set up so I can cowitness through my eotech if need be. For the price this product is stellar!!!

Make sure its the real deal. Not a knock off from Hong Kong. Works great, low profile. fits under my trijicon ACOG or Aimpoint CompM3. Works better then I thought it would. Used as a backup rear site or as a primary iron site. Pay the extra funds and get american made products. Unless your going to set them up a paint marker.

I have bought one of these flip up sights from magpul about three months ago. I spent $35 dollars on mine from a differant websight before I started on amazon. For the money, I love the sight. However, I only bought it because I bought a new upper and got rid of that damb "carry handle". Which by the way, try using the handle, when you have an optic strapped to it, not a good idea. Needed a quick, cheap rear sight. Anyway, the sight is good. Nice, quick flip up spring. Even with enough paint on it for digital cammo. Didn't change the flip spring AT ALL. You get levers on both sides, and a BIG button on the top. However, adjusting it, kind of a pain. The nob is a little stiff. The quallity to get it zero'd in is also a pain. Don't get me wrong, you will with a few rounds, but not straight from dead zero. Also, the sight and mount are all plastic. To be expected for the money, but typically used for range shooting or making your weapon look cool anyway. Seems like pretty duable plastic though. Another negative, is that changing from "the big hole" to the "little hole" is hard, unless you have an unclipped fingernail. It has this very, very small tab on top, and a cheesey feeling when you flip it. When I first looked at it, I didn't even think it folded, and thought I was going to break it when trieng. But, the sights worked great. Plus it has the sharp, but somehow rounded corners whith the futuristic look that magpul is kind of known for. I will one day replace this sight, but only when I have the money, and need. Hope this review helped.

Don't be fooled by the plastic. It is an incredibly strong, high quality piece of equipment. It's made of some kind of polymer, so it won't break without some serious abuse, much like any metal piece would. This is mounted on a SIG 556, works great.
