Very cool magnet. I use it on my table saw. Can be used for a lot of things. Highly recommend.

These things are great for making jigs and lots of other quick-change applications with a metal surface.

I bought a few of these for random shop jigs, and I like them. Instead of telling you it is strong or not strong, I decided to provide a few numbers to work with. I put one on my powermatic cast iron table saw table that had been treated with paste wax weeks prior to test the strength, and it has been used a lot since it was waxed so this is the typical condition my tablesaw surface is in. Using a spring pull scale to measure the force while pulling parallel with the table surface, it took 14.75lbs of pulling force until the one 30mm magnet started to slide. I don't know what they claim it to be, but that is what mine holds until it slides. The upward pull is much, much stronger, so strong that I don't think I can even pull it off the table by hand, but I haven't used it in this manor for anything yet and don't expect to.
