Product Description

Presenting the U-30WT Student Painted Ukulele by Mahalo

Now Mahalo Ukuleles are available in a rainbow of colors—each comes with it's own color-matched bag for easy and safe transportation to the Beach or the weekly lesson. With 8 colors to choose from there’s something for everyone!

Traditional Look
Distinctive Design
Classic Design

Making its first major appearance in the USA at the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Fair in San Francisco, the ukulele continues to delight and attract fans of every age, gender and skill level. Little has changed in the design of these diminutive tonal powerhouses; which is a testament to the design perfection achieved right from the start. The most popular and often the most affordable shape continues to be the soprano size. It’s easy to carry, has that traditional sound and can be remarkably affordable, too.

Wood Selection

The Mahalo Painted Uke Series was designed to be affordable without sacrificing tonal quality or playability. To accomplish this, maple was chosen for the construction of these fine instruments and results in a crisp, bright edge to the characteristic warm, airy island sound that is most familiar to all.

Construction

Normally, affordable ukuleles are often perceived to be more “toy-like,” than taken seriously as a genuine musical instrument. With Mahalo Painted Ukes, you can be sure that each instrument is constructed with the same attention to detail the one might expect in more costly instruments. From all angles, the construction is clean, and the fit and finish will exceed expectation.

Features and Fittings

The Painted Series is available in a complete rainbow of colors to assure mass appeal…each with an accompanying color-matched gig bag. The painted fingerboards have accurately spaced, smooth and polished frets, while the guitar-style, geared tuners are more accurate than planetary-style tuners; effectively taking the guesswork out of tuning.

Attention to Detail
U-30 Painted Ukuleles – Rainbow colors and an affordable price make these ukes a big hit!

Its no surprise that the ukulele is more popular than it has even been. Especially today when instruments are getting better and better, even at the most affordable end of the price spectrum. Mahalo Painted ukuleles are the best choice in affordably priced and extremely well made soprano-sized instruments that are designed to sound great, play easy and most of all be affordable, too! Select from 11 fantastic colors – each with a matching gig bag, and it couldn’t be easier to learn how to play the ukulele today!

I got this as a gift a few days ago and I havent been able to put it down. The strings get out of tune quickly within the first few days, but after you tune it a few times (10 +) then they will keep tune very nicely and it helps you to learn how to tune your new uke. Im a beginner and I love it, im sure eventually ill move up to a better one,but for not this is just fine :D

ok so when i bought this instrument i wasn't sure if i wanted to really learn uke and was just testing the water. I was hooked almost instantly and in less than a week was faced with the reality that what i had didn't really serve its purpose. I purchased an Oscar Schmidt OU2 Concert Ukuleleand was quite satisfied. Ill spare you a more technical review but if i could do it again i would skip the Mahalo Uke and go straight to the OU2

I didn't know anything about ukulele or guitar or any string instruments before, and I bought this is purely for fun but it is totally out of my expectation! I started self-learning ukulele and there's nothing better than this one with that price. You can't expect too much from something cost so little. I can play many chords and songs, sometimes play along with another guitar when singing hymns at church. It's a perfect instrument for beginners or if you just want to have a little bit fun.

Bought it because I wanted to give ukulele playing a try. I fell in love with the instrument. Definitely made for beginners, though. It's fantastic for a start! Gets untuned easily at first, but all you have to do is play it for a few hours and stretch out the strings. Definitely recommend it to anyone trying ukulele for the first time.

My kids were playing a ukulele for their Spring Concert at school and we were given the option to purchase one for home practice. My husband has always wanted to get our kids into something music-wise, but they were expensive through school. Solution: Amazon! :) We were able to purchase the exact same ukulele and one for each kid (three--ages 12, 8, and 6) for nearly half of what our school was selling them for. These ukulele's are nice quality! And they get used A LOT!! We even brought them on a recent road trip (Duluth, MN, to Lynn Haven, FL) and they were our saving grace! We don't have any experience with ukulele's, but these seem to be really nice ones.
