Best Value for my money,

This review is from: Mahalo U-50G Economy Soprano Ukulele with Geared Tuning Pegs and Gig Bag, Natural (Electronics)
I bought this Ukulele from Amazon. I also own a Lanikai LU-21P Pineapple Ukulele and a Lanikai LU-21C concert Ukulele.
But this Mahalo Soprano Ukulele is my favorite Ukulele. The strings stay some what tuned after a few days of stretching. The sound is not great when compared to my Lanikai with Aquila strings but good enough for everyday practicing. The only string that does not sound as good is the C string being the lowest in tone. The geared tuners works well. The finishing is satisfactory. The included bag is good enough for me. This Ukulele is perfect for students for it has good intonation, playable, and cheap. I am very satisfy with this Ukulele. Best Value for my money.

Worth the money,

If you are expecting a concert-grade instrument for this price, you are living in a fool's paradise. However, this was tunable, playable, and the sound is pretty good. The case that mine came with is simple cloth, but since most don't come with any case, it's good enough.
If you have never bought an instrument new, or replaced strings on an existing instrument, you should be aware that the strings stretch a lot when first put under tension. This may be what caused many poor reviews. For the first few days, just keep tuning it, maybe a little sharp if you have the mind to, and the strings will be okay. Even an hour after first tuning my unit, the strings stretched so it was several full tones off. (Be patient, it's just a baby!!) Bottom line: If you want a good uke, maybe for taking on a camping trip, or teaching your kids to play (What mine is for), this is a good product. If you need an "Excellent" instrument, plan on paying more than $100 and go to a music store where you can test/play many, many different instruments until you find the one you want.

Fantastic little instrument for the price. The sound quality is a bit better than I expected for $25. The strings will take a few days to break in (don't expect them to hold their tune for more than a few minutes at first), but once they do the uke hardly ever needs tuning.
