I believe the previous reviewer was a little too negative in his review. Your opinion of this game will depend on what you are looking for. I just wanted a mahjong game. I was not looking for adventure mode or the other stuff. I wanted clear tiles i could read, the traditional game and nothing else. I play the game for its puzzle value. So this game worked for me.

I was playing a free version of this game. I came to love it but you had to purchase it through someone I did not know. Then one day I decided to look for it on Amazon and there it was. The only thing I do not like about the game is the first game on every group of games is an easy game. After you have played those easy games a couple of times you wish you could skip them, but the many brain teasing games that come after the easy ones are well worth playing the easy one. Just play it and take the points and try to do it faster every time. I really enjoy this version of Mahjong.Mahjong The Endless Journey [Game Download]

I've had this game for one week and am very disappointed. I have not even tried the adventure mode. I play the regular mode and can only play 2 times and the third time all I get is the outline of the layout...no tiles showing. I try different layouts and still only just layout of game...no tiles showing. Once I did get the "blue screen of death" and locked up. All I could do was Ctrl-Alt-Delete. This game would be fun if it worked correctly.

I've been playing this game off and on for the last six years. Finally, there is only 5 per cent left to open in the adventure mode. However, I've been playing over a dozen or so rounds and am still stuck at 5 per cent! Anyone out there actually completed this game? Has anyone encountered the same problem? I'd like to know. Otherwise, this is a fun game for mahjong lovers. Some of the lighting modes make the tiles hard to see. The other thing I don't like is that I play just one screen in free mode and it sends me directly back to the home page instead of offering the next screen to play. This is very annoying. This game certainly lives up to being "endless". It takes absolutely forever to open the whole game! Recommended only for hard core mahjong players.

One would think that a game as old as this that it would be bug free. Nope. After a few days I consistently get the frozen screen and fade. I have to go to task manager and close it out. This is happening more and more frequently, and when it does you also lose the level or layout you were playing. VERY disappointing.

The game is fun until you get into adventure mode. You must do all 6 levels consecutive. If you make it, it awards you new tile sets, layouts, etc. The problem is, about 4 levels into it, a memory leak causes the blue screen of death and you lock up. Every time. If you save the game between every adventure level, you can advance. Also the tiles sets are pretty vague and hard to read. Also the colors can be washed out. Good concept of design, but overall a poor execution. My wife loves the game otherwise and doesn't want to give it up. Not recommended.
