Mai-Khi
57th and Lincoln
Milwaukee, Wisconsin
This alien looking tiki comes from a 1970s matchbook cover for the Mai Khi in Milwaukee, WI. Built in 1973, it was described as a Polynesian lounge with 2 levels and private party facilities. It featured a nice a-frame entrance and Witco tiki carvings inside. It closed in 2001, and turned into a sports bar called Bobblehedz, but some of its former tiki embellishments can still be seen, including the a-frame entrance and tiki torches outside.
This is a high quality 11"x14" print of these wonderful vintage graphics, printed on thick Epson paper. Each image has been restored to remove any damage or wear, but still shows the vintage quality of printing, which makes these images so unique.
