Editorial Reviews

Momoko is having major money trouble. After the untimely death of her parents, she finds herself strapped for cash to pay for her college tuition. Desperate, Momoko even considers selling her most precious possession, her mother's ring. But everything changes when Takaaki, a charming young man in her class, generously offers to pay her tuition if she simply agrees to work off her debt by serving as his personal live-in maid. The offer sounded generous at first... Now completely under Takaaki's control, Momoko has no choice but to satisfy his every twisted sexual fantasy. But Momoko isn't the only one he's drafting into this new maid service. Using blackmail and bribery, Takaaki's staff continues to grow with gorgeous young maids who are willing to serve him on their hands and knees. But even with all of this beauty surrounding him, for some inexplicable reason, Momoko still remains the target for his ever growing sadistic experiments. Could his unhealthy fixation lead to disaster?

Also known as ''Maid no Yakata - Zetsubo-hen''. Audio: English, Japanese. Subtitles: English subtitles and on-screen translations. Special Features: Animated art gallery, original U.S. trailer and Critical Mass Video trailers. Adults only!

The thing most casual viewers of animated pornography of which MAID SERVICE most definitely is don’t understand is that this is pretty tame. Yes, it’s at times torturous, and, of course, it’s at other times more than a bit disturbing … but if there’s one thing I’ve learned from that current critical favorite, HOUSE OF CARDS, it’s that sex – in its purest form – is rarely about just “sex.” Rather, everything in life is about “sex.” (Or maybe it’s more accurate to say that everything in life tends to be about sex from some angle or another.) Sex, by contrast, is about “power,” and that message is something very near and dear to the central message (if there is one) behind MAID SERVICE.

You’ve got maids – often defined as “subservients” – and you’ve got “service” – a word that connotes that there’s a ‘master’ in the relationship. You throw those two words together, and you’re bound to get combustion. On that point, MAID SERVICE does combust, indeed.

(NOTE: The following review will contain minor spoilers necessary solely for the discussion of plot and/or characters. If you’re the type of reader who prefers a review entirely spoiler-free, then I’d encourage you to skip down to the last two paragraphs for my final assessment. If, however, you’re accepting of a few modest hints at ‘things to come,’ then read on …)

Needing to ascertain some measure of income in order to continue paying for her college tuition, Momoko finds herself duped into serving as a house maid to the charming young man in her class, Takaaki. The problem is that Takaaki has much more on his mind than just being a nice guy, and, before you can say “put on that maid outfit,” he has her half-removed from said maid outfit in order to satisfy his every sexual whim, perverse or otherwise.

5.0 out of 5 stars Damn good!!! April 4, 2009

possibly the best hentai i have ever seen. it has a long run time and isn't really as deranged as bondage so i got it. i enjoyed it. and if your into a hentai that has a good storyline and a look at how school can be costly if you meet a guy with "Darkness And Light" umm i think "syndrome". it's a condition where person A is cruel or mean to person B and person B could tell someone but no one will listen because person A has them all fooled into thinking he/she(person A) is nice even though the're(person A) not. but anyway it's really good. P.S. i first got into them when my girlfrined let's just call her Jessi May told me she would buy one for me if i would just give it a chance and wach it with her. lets just say we had to pause it a few times. anyway it's good so get it if you like hentai.

4.0 out of 5 stars good January 11, 2014

Well this DVD was okay but it still could have been better in alot of ways like the sex scenes were slightly fast and you didn't see but so much of the body but I guess in a way it was good but like I said it could have been better

Also there were some parts that were unnecessary and disgusting

2.0 out of 5 stars Okay, but thats about it. April 19, 2014

Another wonderful example of a person who needs a crowbar upside the head. Personal feelings aside, animation quality is average. No real attempt at a cohesive story. Touches bases on quite a few different, styles so to speak, but animation quality prevents any of them from being overly graphic. Almost a constant running of scenes. Acceptable if you care for domineering type encounters, otherwise only as a quick study of various styles.
