It didn't work for me,

I was so excited to try this, I saw it on the American Inventor show. Well when I received it I was so disappointed. It didn't stay in place, the cups kept popping up over my boobs. There is no sticky stuff to adhere the cups to you. What a disappointment. I sent it back to Amazon.

Save your money,

I was so excited when this product came out. Finally I could wear my summer dresses without having to worry about support.
I was so very, very wrong. Not only does this bra not work, I cannot imagine how they got it to stay on the women in the video without taping it on. It will not stay in place, and, worse yet, it is the wrong size! I am professionally sized every year, and I do know what size my bra is. The numbers and the letter are the same, but the bra is three times the size it should be. It's not even worth it to send it back and ask for a refund! Save your money and look elsewhere for a backless bra, the only way this piece of misshapen cloth will work is if you duct taped everything into place to begin with.

I love this bra, but........,

I love this bra, love the feeling of no strap around my back........but it does work best when worn under a fitted shirt or dress. If your shirt is loose around the bust area, the bra has a tendency to shift, especially if you raise your arms or bend over and reach for something. I imagine use of a double stick tape would be enough to stabilize it. In my opinion, it is worth the comfort of not having a back strap. You can send in for a free roll of tape from Maidenform. Also, the better your posture is, the better it stays in place!

Not what I was expecting,
This review is from: Maidenform Women's Breakthrough Backless Bra # 7445 (Apparel)
This bra did not live up to my expectations. I am an athletic 34B, fyi. This bra not only refused to stay on my shoulders if I even slightly bent over or moved, it also fit awkwardly over my breasts. I don't need extra padding on my chest, I just wanted to make sure the goods stayed in place whenever I wore my daring backless dress. Alas for me, this bra didn't do it. Don't waste your money.

The idea of this bra was really interesting, and (had it worked) could have been best thing since dark roast coffee. Unfortunately, it took nearly 30 minutes to position properly, and then, after all of the adjusting, twisting, lifting, etc, POP! The contents of the bra came spilling out. I tried repositioning it several times, but it never stayed in place for more than 5 minutes. (Maybe it would work for a smaller busted woman, but my bust (36D) was not made for such acrobatics.)
Back to the drawing board I suppose...

I purchased this bra just in case I might need it one day, plus it is on sale now, being sold for less than than the MSRP. First, I want to applaud the inventor and especially Maidenform for having the guts to try something unconventional like this. However, my number one complaint is, if you need garment tape to help it stay up, then why not market the bra with at least A FEW strips to get you started. To make you wait 6 weeks for your free roll is asking too much.
As far as the bra's construction goes, I believe the cups are structured wrong, at least in my size 34D. The wire length looks right, but the cup projection is far too shallow. Therefore, the center gore does not lay flat against my chest, nor do the cups encase each breast the way they do on a good underwire bra. My breasts fall out of the bottom. The poor fit of the cups is also what creates the movement of the bra which others talk about. If the cups and wire were meticulously fitted, this bra would hug my front and would put less demand on the straps. The last thing I will mention is the tops of the cups. Maybe because my breasts fall under the wire, there is gaping at the top. Or maybe, again, these cups just have a strange fit. They are wide, shallow and full at the top, almost as if they were fitted on someone with implants. The best thing about this bra is the feeling of having nothing on your back.

Disappointed,
This review is from: Maidenform Women's Breakthrough Backless Bra # 7445 (Apparel)
I was disappointed when I received this product. I had purchased it to be worn with a low-back wedding dress. The cups fit fine and the padding was not too much or too little, but the straps WOULD NOT stay on my shoulders! I even tried it with the free garment tape that you can get by sending the receipt to the company, but that did not help.

The idea is really great! I don't know what took so long...but because it did take so long it will be a while until it is perfected. Just like the Victoria Secret 100 way bra and I think the other one I have is a very sexy that is supposed to allow you to wear low back clothing. They all still need to be perfected. With this maidenform one it is extremely tight as it has to work double time to give the same support as a regular bra. If it is not going to be a long night then i guess it is alright.

It's about time! This backless bra is a great invention. I've worn it under t-shirts so line wouldn't show.

I really wanted to review this item because lots of people gave it a bad review. This bra is really good, granted you won't be doing any vigorous dancing in it but it is a good product. I think that it works best with a larger chest(larger chest serves to hold the bra in place better)and adjusted straps. I got mine and jumped up and down in it, bent over, and raised my arms. You can't raise your arms really because you get some slippage(other than that it works great). The main problem is the silicone. The silicone does nothing(they offer free fabric tape but you have to order it. They should just give it to you when you buy it). I really don't even know why it's there. Maybe if they put more on it or put it on the bra and not just the cups it might work better. The only other thing is just the weird feeling of having your back completely exposed,I guess you just have to get used to that. This is worth $10 and I will be putting mine to good use. Oh,it gives great push-up effect!
