Maidenform used to have the best racerback bra I had ever worn. It was called the Fabulous Fit Bra and it really was. Unfortunately, Maidenform has discontinued this style, replacing it with another that looks exactly like the 7919. The problem is that this bra feels like it is made entirely made of rubber! I am not sure just who in the Maidenform research and development department thought that women wanted to have their breasts and backs wrapped in rubber, but it was one of the worst ideas ever to come out of Maidenform's closet. I sent these bras back immediately, and remain entirely disgusted with Maidenform. I used to wear the 7919 exclusively, but now I have to go in search of other styles and makers.Maidenform Women's One Fabulous Fit The Smooth Bra Fused T-Back Bra #7399.

I was a loyal customer for Maidenform T-back #7919 for the past 10 years until they discontinued the model. So, I bought this one hoping it will fit me as well. Somehow, this bra's edges around the armpit area (next to the front chest) is too "tall" and scraching and herting my skin when I move my arm. But, I am only speaking for myself, everyone's body shape is different. Over all speaking, this bra is not fitting me well. :-(

This bra did not fit. It pinched at the front clasp, and was not in any way as comfortable as the old style by maidenform. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wishes they'd bring the old style back! This bra was sent back to Amazon, along with 2 other brands that fit just as bad or worse.

I wish there was a way to give zero stars, because that is what this item deserves. This is without a doubt the most uncomfortable bra I have ever had the displeasure of putting on. It is not correct in the size, it definitely runs small. It claimed that it would help the back fat issue. I never thought I had back fat until I put this bra on. It was so tight it pushed my skin up and it looked like I had back fat! I have NEVER had this with any other bra. Also, the edges were prickly. They cut the material in tiny little scallops and it scratched everywhere. It felt like one of those annoying rough tags on a shirt; continually scratching and pricking the skin. But in this case the scallops were along the entire cup...horribly uncomforable. The cup size was even a bit small.
I would tell everyone to save your money this bra is terrible.... One fabulous fit it is NOT!

The Maidenform Woman's One-Fabulous-Fit T-Back bra came one size too small and is almost impossible to close in front. It is not made of fabric and is fashioned from a synthetic stretch material. It was very uncomfortable when I finally managed to close it and wear it. I will probably give it away.

I have small shoulders that slope downwards and found that racerback, t-back, and convertible (criss-cross) styles work the best for me. I used to buy Maidenform style #3429 (racerback with elastic lace), but that was discontinued, and I ended up buying this style #7399 (The Smooth Bra Fused T-Back). I can see why Maidenform replaced the old style with this t-back one. It provides smooth coverage with flexible cups that look natural without thick padding or seams. The fabric lays flat on the back without tight elastic that would dig into the skin and show back bulge. In the beginning, there were one or two spots along the underwire that made me itch, but it was fine after the wash softened any rough edges. The only drawback to this bra is strap visibility underneath necklines that are wider or scoop in the back, including tanks. Since I need a bra that doesn't have falling straps, this does the trick. Macy's is always out of my size, and the Maidenform Outlet is quite a drive so I was thrilled to find it on Amazon for a better price.

I've always had two problems with bras - they were uncomfortable and the straps fell off my shoulders. Problem solved! This bra does the job. I can wear it comfortably all day and the straps stay in place. The only problem I've found with this bra is that the straps show with wider necklines - a small price to pay for comfort!

I suspect that eec and Sadie both bought the wrong sizes, because I have a wide ribcage and have been wearing mine for two days straight and have not noticed the underwire in the least. The cups are firm without being bulky, the band around the sides and back is comfortable and breathable, and the t-back means no straps falling down. Also, the front closure means that there is no bulge under my shirt along my back. I wish that I had found a bra like this years ago. The material is soft and smooth (although so badly wrinkled that I wasn't sure the deep creases would even come out in the wash). The under-wires were not noticeable when I first put it on, but by mid-day, the wires were poking so badly that my skin was actually raw. I have since removed the wires and it is now a fairly nice bra.

There is nothing special about this bra. The smoothness the packaging refers to is for the bra itself, not any effect it may have on making your back look smooth under t-shirts. Make sure you latch the closure securely so as not to have the bra suddenly sproing open when you're out it a public place. Not that that happened to me or anything. Heh.
