Mail House Locking Mailbox - White

It took me a long time to find this mailbox. But I'm glad that I did. Unlike other locking mailboxes, this one is made to last. Here are my impressions:

1) Heavy gauge steel thoughout. Workmanship and quality like this doesn't exist anymore.
2) Paint has not faded at all after 1 year in direct sunlight and rain.
3) Quality lock, I usualy replace the cheap lock on mailboxes but didn't need to on this one.
4) The box is completely sealed so rain water does not leak in. Openings have overlaps and gaskets which demonstrates the thought put into this mailbox

I received my locking mailbox within a few days after ordering it. Initially, I had concerns about whether the aluminum construction would be sturdy enough. I went through two small drill bits creating mounting holes to find out I was wrong.

The item was very heavy despite the aluminum material, which necessitated over 2 dozen mounting screws. My only concern is that the lock for the mailbox front seems a bit on the lesser side and is not nearly as well constructed as the box itself. If you do go for wall mounting, you will need several mounting screws and a long screwdriver to get around the various angles of the mailbox opening and sides.
