The Best!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Mail Myself to You (Audio CD)
My entire family still loves this! When I was 2 years old, I was at a John McCutcheon concert in my town, just a little concert on the courthouse lawn. I fell asleep in my mother's arms and he was moving around the audience playing his fiddle. As he passed me, sleeping, he stopped in the middle on his song and plays me a lullaby, then keeps on playing his song!

The Greatest Kids Music Adults Should Have,
By A Customer
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Mail Myself to You (Audio CD)
Like the dialog in many cartoons, John McCutcheon's children's music has lyrics that adults can really relate to, that the kids may never pick up on for years. His songs tend to bring adults back to "real important things that grown-ups soon forget" (Kindergarten Wall); or making you realize the value in what you have and making the best you can of it (Over in the Meadow); or we don't all have to be perfect to be of value (I'm a Little Cookie); and on, and on. What refreshing concepts in contrast to what society bombards us with these days. I enjoy John's music as much or more than my children, and this CD has a wonderful collection of his works. I like it 'cause it is fun and brings me back to my roots. My kids like it 'cause it's fun. We all sing along, and though the songs are typically lively and up-beat, they have a tremendous calming effect. If I need a sedative for my toddler when we are traveling, this will do it. Don't question buying this one; JUST DO IT. And if you ever have a chance to see John McCutcheon perform live; grab the kids and go.

A "Tip 'o the Hat" to the USPS,
By the Wizard, fkap (WiZARD RADIO) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Mail Myself to You (Audio CD)
It is a real treat that the US Post Office chose McCutcheon's wonderful version of the classic Woodie Guthrie's "Mail Myself to You" as their theme song in the 2003 Christmas Television commercials. I hope the entire country wakes up to find this delightful CD in their Christmas Stockings.....
