Frustrating read... The "millionaire weatherman" and damsel farmer in distress keep sending each other mixed signals throughout the whole novel, staying away from each other because they are scared to get hurt. So throughout the whole novel they kiss 3 times, apologize to each other each time, decide they will never see each other again. The boredom continues when they keep running into each other like teenagers and then suddenly at the end they decide to get married....Say what? Oh and needless to mention that he spends one week with her, behaving himself and she spends several nights at his place, without touching each other. If there is an equivalent of blue balls for women, you will get it while reading this novel...BOOOORING!

Entertaining book but what ever happened to editors? It's a shame that we have to pay to read a book littered with typos.

This is a fun romance with a fairly clean storyline, a few thoughts or descriptions running into PG but nothing too detailed. Miranda lives on a maple syrup producing farm and it is interesting to read about the hard work that goes into making it. Max is a meteorologist on top of a mountain and these career interests make them feel as if they can't get involved, despite Miranda's sister's best matchmaking attempts. Some things stretch the imagination as when Miranda made a delivery on a snowmobile, but it is fiction and as I said, mostly clean. I read this pretty quickly, it doesn't require any deep thinking so it is easy to get through and entertaining.

This book was cute and had a lot of potential for me, but really fell short on the delivery. I felt the extra step wasn't taken to pull the reader in, and transitions were sloppy and sometimes confusing. Also the editor should be fired, between spelling errors and typos a good once over would do a lot of good. I was able to finish the book however and the characters were likeable, just not fully developed enough to get a real sense of how they felt.

The story is cute, the characters more interesting than the usual run-of-the-mill "Boy meets girl under interesting circumstance, falls in love against all odds." But it's also horrendously predictable, pretty much from page one. Not worth the read.

This story's plot is a little thin but I overlooked that because of the very likeable characters. I felt like I knew the people and was rooting for them the whole time. All in all it was an enjoyable wintertime read so cuddle up with a blanket and a nice cup of hot chocolate and send yourself to scenic Vermont.it's worth the trip LOL.

This book was very romantic and funny rolled into one. Once I started reading this book I couldn't seem to stop, after every chapter it had me wondering what would happen next. I would most diffidently recommend this book and have...

Certainly this book has some faults, one of them being that the characters give mixed signals to each other and the romance is very slow.

However, there is charm in the story, where the imagery brings the reader into the daily lives of the main characters. Miranda, a 'refugee' from New York, returns home to the farm which her grandfather left her to try and make a go of the maple syrup business. She also has to work locally in order to make ends meet, which involes fielding complaints at a mail order business.

Max, hurting from a broken marriage, is currently the weatherman on a mountain in the next county and contacts the mail order business to complain that his boots have not arrived.

It all happens from there.

Grace's description of the farm, working the sap from the trees with the horses, the slush and the mountain weather station is the saving of the novel. If the reader is looking for red hot action, this is not the place to find it. I felt the characters could have been rounded out better in order for the reader could get to know them, but in spite of this, the novel as a whole has charm.

As a final note, the title is misleading. This story is not your average millionaire meets girl story. For one thing, the millionaire matter is barely mentioned and in fact, is totally unnecessary to the plot.
