This is a record that have divided jazz listerners for years. Either you are stuck with jazz purism or you understand that music constantly evolves. If you belong to the latter camp it might be the case that you'll appreciate this music. For what we have here is one of Green's contribution to later music styles.

In short: this is stylish jazz funk at its best.

If you grew up during the early seventies the music will remind you of the soundworld of that time. Recommended, even if it is not Green's best album. Nonetheless essential for Green collectors, of course.

Actually if you like Alive, you'll love this. Grant Green blends blistering horn parts over electric guitar funk on this late seventies "gem"! The mix on this recording is great and now it's finally available on CD.

I was looking for a particular tune by Grant Green and was amazed that someone still had the original CD as Grant has been gone for a while. Hit Amazon and BINGO there was what I wanted...Why was I surprised?

Having never purchased anything with Amazon I was pleased that it went so smoothly.

I will be back, and have been.

For the collector...Nice reissue.

For the jazz listining public: This is a throwaway recording...enough to feed a habit and nothing extra. Unfortunate.

The first track is f'ing founkay.... the rest is up to your taste

If there ever was a Grant Green cd you could afford to skip, it would probably be this one. Definitely not one of his better recordings, even if you like the funky stuff.
