1) I knew this would be small, but not how small. This so-called book can actually fits in the back pocket of my tight jeans with rooms to spare, seriously!
I have ordered many mini books in the same price range from Amazon before, none of them look anything like this. It is spiral bound, no pictures, put together like a high school project. Each page has one recipe, and a name of the recipe's contributor. If I see this book in store, I probably thought it's a toy for little girl and would not pay more than $1.00 for it, and I'm being generous. 2)Many recipes call for canned or processed food to be added. Like add a can of cream soup, a can of tuna, a can of soda, a package of mac & cheese, and so on. Nothing's wrong with that, but I thought I was getting fresh ingredients Amish Recipes and not back of the can soup recipes. Here's a recipe for Chuck Roast from the book, 1 pkg. onion soup mix, 12 oz. cola drink, 3-5 lbs beef roast, put them in baking dish for couple of hours, that's that! 3) There are quite a few recipes that I don't think they're Amish. Like Chow main and Egg roll, Sweet and Sour, Taco Squares, Pizza, and other recipes. Again, nothing's wrong with them, I just want Amish recipes. Have to give it one star because there is no option for zero. Buyer beware! |
