4.0 out of 5 stars Great for fans of Season 4... still missing something
It's great to see a cleaned, studio-quality version of the original "Airwolf" Season 4 Main Theme released. As for the previous poster, maybe Dan Milner composed the Descending Bridge theme for Season 4, because it does in fact exist, and appeared in the end credits to most of the episodes in Season 4, most prevolently the end theme for the episode "Salvage"...

2.0 out of 5 stars For fans of the original 4th Canadian Season *only*
Note, even though this is listed as "Music composed by Sylvester Levay", this was completely and utterly the late Rick Patterson's gig, and his take on the theme. Whilst this will please the 4th Season (Canadian series) of the show, it's obviously quite different take on what the original 1st-3rd Season Fans will remember or like.

2.0 out of 5 stars For fans of the original 4th Canadian Season *only*, May 10, 2010
This review is from: Main Title Theme from the Television Series "Airwolf" (MP3 Download)

It feels slightly slower and more lethargic than the iconic renditions produced by original composer Sylvester Levay or the other two episodic guys: Udi Harpaz or Ian Freebairn-Smith, and it is their work that we have been concentrating on with the official "AIRWOLF THEMES" Soundtracks releases (Google it!). However, fans of the Canadian show will love the fact that the longest Closing Theme that aired on the spin-off season, including the Ascending Bridge sub-theme, is all here. Patterson never recorded anything longer, nor with the Descending Bridge sub-theme, it just doesn't exist.

For me however, I've never been a fan of either the spin-off 4th Season show, nor Rick Patterson's take on what the original composers did, but there will be plenty of you who will disagree and I'm glad that someone has finally filled that niche in the market. As for the sound quality, the Stereo image isn't that great, nor is the scope of the soundstage. I'm also a little disappointed that it has been MP3'd to below only 250k, instead of Amazon's normal 320k level, which does affect the metallic, synth nature of Patterson's track a bit on good audio kit.

Still worth a listen though - as a comparison for the original show's fans - to show exactly how *great* Sly, Udi and Ian's timeless and iconic musical creations were on the three CBS seasons!

It's great to see a cleaned, studio-quality version of the original "Airwolf" Season 4 Main Theme released. As for the previous poster, maybe Dan Milner composed the Descending Bridge theme for Season 4, because it does in fact exist, and appeared in the end credits to most of the episodes in Season 4, most prevolently the end theme for the episode "Salvage".

Which unfortunately leaves this track a little incomplete. Missing the Descending Bridge theme, makes it seem more like the end theme to just the episode "Blackjack" rather than a complete end theme for most of the episodes during the season.

But it's still great stuff for fans of this popular theme for "Airwolf", some of which found this theme to be the strongest of the show's four seasons. I quite disagree with the previous reviewer that this is a lethargic theme. It's just as much a worthy cover of Sylvester Levay's original as Udi Harpaz or Ian Freebairn-Smith brought to the table. It holds it's own, and instead of being a fast-paced, poppy version of theme, Rick Patterson's version is a heavier remix, leaving a far more brooding, almost darker feel to the theme, rather the upbeat original versions.

Good for everyone, curious synthesizer fans, and an absolute must for "Airwolf: Season 4" fans and TRUE "Airwolf" enthusiasts.
