I've been living in Maine for over 30 years and I learned so much I didn't know I didn't know from reading this excellent book. The "Take Fives"
where prominent Maine contributers have presented their 5 best restaurants, museums, places to have lunch etc, add a fun (and often funny) and interesting way
to keep any of the material from being boring. The writing is always entertaining and I know I will go back to this book many times to reread a section that I most enjoyed.
If you're from Maine, buy this book and you'll definitely pick up some information that is new and interesting to you. If you're not from Maine, but love this state, you need
to read this book. You'll love the section on Mainespeak.

Reading "Maine 101" prior to leaving really enhanced my trip to Maine this summer. I gave a copy to my host as well.

THIS HAS AN ESTEEMED PLACE NEXT TO OUR TOILET. IT'S SHORT, CUTE, EDUCATIONAL AND HELPS TO FILL SOME TIME.

We got this book because a friend told us that my husband was named in it.

As a result we are now the owners of a lovely piece of work that gives a lot of interesting information about the most north eastern sate in the union.

This is a good buy for anyone who wants an 'off the beaten track' look at The Pine Tree State.
