I bought Mainly Mother Goose when it was first released - before CD's were even invented. I had heard Sharon Lois and Bram being intereviewed about the release of their new record on CBC one morning - probably with Peter Gzowski. I had to have it so I bought it within that week. I had the LP and used to tape it on a cassette so that we could have it for travelling in the car. We all loved the songs in it and it always made you happy and light hearted. My kids are now 21 and 20 and every once in awhile when we are all together I will pull out the VERY OLD cassette and play it. When one song finishes my children, my husband and myself can still recall which song will play next. The record has all the classic little songs that I had heard as a child and I thought it was important that they know the same songs.

For years I used to buy this record for baby presents and all my friends loved it for their children too. Now I am thinking ahead to when I will have grand children - I think it is time to start giving this CD out to a new generation. I am going to buy 5 just to have for gifts.

I believe every child would love the happy feeling you get when you hear these marvelous little songs

When my 10-month-old starts to get fussy in the carseat, I put this CD on and he settles right down. The songs and rhymes are all catchy, and the music is not over-produced. Occasionally, you hear children laughing, singing or rhyming along and babies love to hear children's voices.

Rhyming is supposed to be great for developing language, and later, reading skills. So why not re-learn some Mother Goose and entertain your children at the same time!

My kids knew most of the mother goose rhymes before they entered kindergarten because of this CD. They love the mix and so do I. My son loves the Itsy Bitsy Spider verse about the Big Fat Spider! My four year old son and eight year old daughter play this in the front yard in nice weather and give us a great performance. We play it a great deal in the car as well.
