This backgammon set is perfect for the house, or for travel. It fits in the same case along with my laptop, yet when you play with it, the game has a good feel. The peices have good weight, along with the dice. The whole set seems to be well made and has been used many times in the short time I bought it. Would recommend it for any one.

I purchased this as a gift for my husband. We brought it with us on vacation and found it was the perfect size and very portable. I thought it would be nice to have a handle but then I didn't really miss it. The board is well made and stitched. I would highly recommend this Backgammon set. We should get many great years out of it.

Perfect size, didn't want too big of a board. Love it, works great. great quality pieces, although there are no extra pieces, hopefully we won't lose any.

This set is masterful. Fine feel of leather. Well stitched and elegant.
It makes playing Backgammon an art.
Money well spent for a good thing.

Apparently the distributor (DLG Gaming) for this PRC-made set is having quality control issues. I say that because my fellow reviewers were so pleased with their sets.

I wasn't so lucky. The vinyl points on the board were already curling up at the tips when mine arrived. Why? Sloppy stitching.

The glue smell is strong, but will probably go away in a few weeks if I just leave the board open, right?

Mine came with different size dice pairs. The blacks are larger than the whites. Worse, both pair of dice are too big for the set, so they don't fit in the built-in storage compartment meant for the dice.

The checkers are not heavy at all, just smooth disks of very cheap plastic. A few of the blacks came already scuffed up.

On the postive side, the felt was smooth and the vinyl "skin" of the case looked nice.

I sent mine back. I'd rather replace a cheapo set that wears out in two or three years than this somewhat pricey one, which I guess would not last much longer. I really thought spending a little more would deliver better quality.

Excellent quality for the low price! I only wish it had a carry handle. I highly recommend this backgammon set.

i ordered this set tuesday morning and it arrived on thursday. that's insanely fast. opened the box and it looks very nice.
