From School Library Journal
PreSchool-K-- As in Maisy Goes to Bed and Maisy Goes Swimming (both Little, 1990), the engaging young mouse enjoys typical childhood activities in these adventures . While attending preschool, Maisy paints, plays in a playhouse, writes a story, and dresses up. At the playground, she slides down a slide, wades in a pool, swings, and plays in a sandbox. Cartoon illustrations include a combination of strong and primary colors. Bold, heavy contour lines are used for definition. Each action or activity is given a double-page spread with the text filling most of the white space. Children will be drawn to the ``lift-the-flap'' and ``pull-the-tab'' format, which is similar to Hill's ``Spot'' (Putnam) books.
