I bought this and a few other books to help prepare my 2-1/2 yr. son for preschool. It was the least helpful as the author did not address parents leaving/returning at all.

The newest addition to the outstanding 'Maisy' series of picture books for young children by Lucy Cousins, "Maisy Goes To Preschool" continues the adventures of everyone's favorite mouse as she and her friends go through a typical day at their preschool. With its bright color and simple artwork, "Maisy Goes To Preschool" allows children ages 2 through 5 to learn about many of preschool activities such as painting, music, story time, napping, bathroom behavior, playing in the sandbox, and more! Thoroughly 'kid friendly' and ideal for parents to introduce children to the concept of attending a preschool or kindergarten program or class, "Maisy Goes To Preschool" should be a part of every daycare center, elementary school, and community library picture book collection.

This book s a good book for children just entering preschool. Is it fantastic? No just fulfills the basic requirements of what preschool is all about.

I read the Maisy Christmas book each year to my Preschool Class and they love it! They sit spellbound and love interacting by raising the flaps to see what's underneath. It is one of my favortie books to read to the class because I know they will enjoy it and I do too!! That is why I purchased this book.

I bought several books to introduce the concept of preschool to my 2 1/2 yr old son before his first day. This was by far the best for his age. It is a simple, straightforward and positive intro to preschool activities. Some of the other books either seemed negative (e.g. child crying bc they didn't want to be at school) or too mature - more for older toddler/Kindergarten-aged school experience.

My son has been asking to read this book by name and saying he wants to see Maisy at Preschool. Hopefully it will do the trick when he actually attends his first day!

I have purchased many Maisy books for my 2yo grand-daughter and she loves them. The characters are appealing, the glossy pages are of good quality, and the storylines are always interesting, and in this case (along with many others) educational.

As an Australian resident, I do incur shippimg charges on my Amazon Maisy purchases, but through research I have found that by bundling a few in one delivery, they still arrive more attractively priced than at retail outlets locally. In addition, sometimes the book in question, such as this one, has not been released or is not available locally.

We love Maisy! This was a new book to our collection for my second son. He will be going to preschool in the fall and I thought it would be great for him. He has asked to read it over and over!

We checked this book out of the library 6 months ago, and my 2 1/2 year old was bummed when we had to return it. She still asked for it every now and then, so I got it for her at Christmas. She still remembered the story and still loves it!

If your little one is just about to start preschool or already attends, they will love the familiar routine of Maisy's day.

There is painting, snacks, going potty, singing, nap time, and outdoor play. What I really like about this particular story is the attention to detail: when Maisy arrives she puts her coat on a hook with her name on it. This is a seemingly simple task that we might take for granted, but little ones get really excited about things like this!

If you are already familiar with Maisy and her friends, this will be a welcomed addition to your collection. If you are not familiar, Maisy is a cute little mouse who has lots of cute animal friends. The books are typically written about familiar things that children do every day or are very interested in. I love the illustration style. Very bold, deceptively simple drawings that are easy to understand. (By deceptively simple I mean...well...go ahead and give it a try and you will see what I mean, haha).

This is a great book to introduce your child to the idea of going to preschool or to get them talking about their day.

this book really helped my three year old prepare for preschool. it helped her to see that she would have a great time and Mommy would be back.
