5.0 out of 5 stars Best Maisy Video!
My one year old loves Maisy, probably for the bright, simple images. And I love that it's completely harmless, often educational. This video has "Train", which is a super cute counting to 10 episode with animals, plus "Fleas", "Harvest", "Hide and Seek" and songs in between episodes. The "bug" song is very catchy,...

I don't like it when Maisy pees in the potty And the toilet sounds like someone's belly when it flushes!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Maisy Video!, August 27, 2000

This video has "Train", which is a super cute counting to 10 episode with animals, plus "Fleas", "Harvest", "Hide and Seek" and songs in between episodes. The "bug" song is very catchy, look out. I think this tape is aimed more at boys as trains and trucks and bugs are prominent. (My daughter loves it but just though I'd point that out.)I highly recommend this entertaining video to any Maisy fan - it's worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very educational and entertaining, January 21, 2000

My 22 month old son and I both love this video. The music is absolutely terrific, and Maisy works counting into her playing without beating you over the head with it (ie she and her friends of course count while playing hide and seek; Maisy picks up various numbers of animals on her train.) I'm on line to order more Maisy videos - they're much more entertainment for the money than most of the Sesame Street ones I've seen.

What a wonderfully educational video. Especially great for the train and truck lover. Very colorful. Great for teaching number recognition and the concept of counting. I highly recommend this for your toddler. I run a home-day-care and have lots of experience with kids.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great Maisy Video, March 27, 2002

If your toddler is a Maisy fan - this one is a must. My 2 year old loves Maisy. The adventures Maisy has are fun and exciting. She loves to watch her and her friends (Talulah, Charlie and Eddie) have their adventures and I often find her laughing and talking along to the Maisy while watching. The videos have lovely background music, are drawn simply with nice bold lines and bright colours. Lovely videos for the younger crowd.

5.0 out of 5 stars You'll love the music!, April 9, 2000

I don't care much for the music in most toddler videos, but this one has changed my mind - and my husband's! With a reggae beat and cute words, these songs resonate in my mind, and I don't mind it a bit. Some might think, as with Telletubbies, that the mouse speaks unintelligible English, but, as with Telletubbies, the narrator speaks excruciatingly correct English (much like the interaction between an adult and a 2-year old). The ultimate judge, of course, is too young to write his opinion. But from his resounding pleas to watch "MOUSE! " every day, I imagine he would definitely give it an enthusiastic thumbs up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple and wonderful for kids, January 17, 2000
I am not familiar with Maisy from her popular series of books, but I intend to become more familiar with both the books and more of the videos because my 20 month old absolutely loves her. The animation is crude but I believe this is purposeful -- simply drawn characters and surroundings so they are easily followed by small children. To illustrate how much my toddler loves Maisy: He was falling asleep before he had dinner, so I said to him, "Do you want to watch Maisy?" He jumped up as if he had not been on the verge of sleep and said, "Izzy?" and ran to the TV. We watched "Maisy" while he ate his dinner.

4.0 out of 5 stars A-Maising Fun, June 14, 2005
There are very few videos available for baby/young toddlers that an adult can sit through - this however is one of them. My 11 mos old is mesmirized by this every morning while I fix her breakfast! The music is catchy, the colors are vivid but not overdone with graphics, and simpy stated, it's cute. The episodes all have a positive message and are soothing on the eyes.(PS - I found this in a bargain bin for $2 at Dollar General!!)
