My kids love Maisy. My son loves fire trucks so this was a hit. There are just a few words on each page. That helps him memorize the story so he thinks he can read. It is a board book so they can't tear it up. Big hit in my house.

We love the simple language and easy-to-follow story, and my 19-month-old loves the story--particularly finding the little black cat. I'm online shopping for more Maisy books for him now.

This like all the Maisy stories is a very good childrens book. This edition is a small board type book with thick pages which are easily turned by little fingers. Only really suitable for pre school children.

This story just features 3 characters - Maisy, Cyril and Little Black Cat. Their are 9 pages of text with the rest of the pages featuring some lovely illustrations. The story about fire engines, ladders, water and rescue is bound to delight any child. There is a clear sequence of events leading up to black cat's rescue so it will be easily understood.

There is also opportunity to make noises children love like "nee-nah, nee-nah" and "swoosh" for the water.
