Ultimate Maisy book,

This review is from: Maisy's Big Flap Book (Board book)
This is a must have for all Maisy book fans. It's the best by far. The book teaches colors, numbers, opposites and more. My 21 month old and I especially love the counting page. The flaps are in the shape of a pyramid and go from one to five (with bugs underneath). Nicest and most interactive counting page I've come across. My daughter counts along with me. Love this book and it's sturdy too!!!

Awesome book,

I got this book for my 16 month old 1 week ago and she has hardly put it down since. It has bright captivating illustrations, robust flaps that are hard to tear, and a different theme on each page. The themes are ones from real life (counting bugs in the garden, colouring different objects, putting different shaped toys away in the playroom, and doing opposites in the playground) and the way the flaps teach the concepts is ingenious. My baby is particularly crazy about the opposites page since when you flip the flaps Maisy goes up and down the slide, Cyril swings high and and low on the swing and Charley dumps a bucket of sand into a truck, all activities she's crazy about herself. Flipping the flaps and seeing the results has her mesmerized. I can't say enough good things about this book!

Cute book. Really big. Lots of little flaps to open. Lots of fun things to talk about (if child is speech delayed and you are looking to teach vocabulary interactively)...Concepts up/down and wet/dry are shown very effectively with flaps...Lots of good chances to say "where is....?" and open flaps to find. If your 2-3 year old likes Maisy, this is a good book ...

Wonderful Book!!,

This book is a real hit with my 20-month-old. She clutched it in her hands while she was napping the other day, and when I tried to pry it away from her, she held onto it even tighter. The drawings are wonderful, and it has educational value as well. There are enough flaps in the book to keep her engaged for quite a while; it was a godsend to have during a recent long car trip. Buy it!

Maisy's Big HAPPY Flap Book,

My 13 month daughter absolutely adores this book! The look on her face when she first opened it was priceless. She's always loved the Maisy flap books and this one is really wonderful. Big bright, colorful pages with lots of fun, unique flaps in a variety of shapes and sizes. Talulah, Ceril and Charlie all make an appearance, but there are also many solid concepts regarding color, numbers, up/down, open/closed, etc. Can't say enough good things about this splendid book. It is hands down my little girl's favorite. She loves to snuggle in my lap with it every night.

Lots of Flaps and Learning!,

This book has so many flaps! My daughter loves them! But, there are so many, and some are small, that it's almost too much for her at nine months. This is definitely a book she'll grow into, though. The characters are cute and she likes to hunt for them under flaps. The book itself is colorful and oversized, making reading it a lot of fun for both of us. Plus, different pages explore counting and colors and other topics that will make it easy to give your child a little "lesson" while reading.

My 15 month old son loves all of the Maisey books. The lift-the-flap books allow him to participate. He can't wait to see what is under the next flap. I would recommend these books to any toddler.

I originally bought this for my daughter when she was one (she is 4 now). She still loves Maisy and enjoys this book. She really enjoys looking at it with her little brother (17 mo). All flaps have held up well through the two of them. This book is looked at at least once a day EVERYDAY. A must buy for anyone with infants and toddlers.

Very Educational,

I bought this book for my 2 year old who loved Maisy. I was a little afraid of the flaps because he has a tearing fettish with any type of flap books, but the flaps in this book were tougher than i thought. It also teaches kids things like-open vs closed, wet vs dry, up vs down, and empty vs full. Maisy has a garden full of flaps that you can count then lift the flaps and see all the different bugs that live in the garden, and another page that has you compare shapes, like a triangle would be a kite, and humpty dumpty would be an oval. My son has me read this book to him every night before he goes to bed, and i enjoy it just about as much as he does! I highly recommend this book to any child in love with Maisy or anyone in that fact. The book is sturdy and the binding is tight. It's a hardbound book with carboard pages, and it's larger than other books. Enjoy!

My daughter can't get enough of this book. She could sit in front of it all day long, opening all the flaps and staring at all the details in the pictures. She is on a real Maisy kick, so I knew she would love it, but I had no idea how much. Three months after I first got it for her (she is 21 months now), I still know that it will hold her attention when I pull it out. That's a valuable tool for the mother of an active toddler!
