Brilliant classical arabic. I have listned to it so many times already and never tire of it. Best CD I baught this year. If you love classical arabic music you must buy this.

This is the first recording i've heard from Le Trio Joubran and I am enthralled by what they've created. As an oud player myself, i've amassed quite a library of oud music. This one is unique, something different. The trio play so beautifully together and have created a sound that is very much their own, in my opinion. Their ability to move from racing lines and crafted heads instantly and fluidly into locked simple grooves and subtle textures is sublime. Very well produced (bordering on "slick" production but not over the top). I highly recommend this recording for contemporary oud music.

Make no mistake, you do not need to be an Arab to love this music. It is enough if you like flamenco, this record will help you understand about its roots. I was listening the CD for a few weeks, day by day, not being bored. Beautiful music, perfect playing and high quality recording. A must for all fans of Paco de Lucia! Hopefully, they'll meet and play together one day.
