I confess I got these as a gift, and did not buy them here, but I wanted to share some advice. Mine are the gold version but identical otherwise. They seem so easy to put on at first, but make sure you carefully read the instructions as it is really easy to mess up. In fact, read them twice. They do not look as nice if they are crooked. Also, you need to know it can take an hour to put these on. I used them on my bible, and they are a life saver. They work great, and there are extra tabs for things like, "My Favorite Verse", and such. Recommend.

I have been bitten twice now in trying to order Bible tabs for a Catholic Bible. Even though the image says there are 84 tabs, I keep getting sent the Protestant version that has 72 tabs.

I agree with another critical con reviewer. The photo says these tabs are for a Catholic Bible and although a few extra tabs are included, there are no tabs for Judith, Tobit, 1 & 2 Maccabees, Wisdom, Sirach and Baruch. I am definitely disappointed. However, the quality of the tabs is fine. It is just that the product is NOT as advertised.

These are very handy for quick reference and look great. My only complaint is really my own fault, I didn't fully read the directions first.

A few pieces of advice:

1. Look at all of the labels first before you start putting them on. The first three sheets list the books you'd expect, so naturally I just started with sheet one. However, sheet four has a lot of "special" tags, like "Old Testament", "New Testament", "Special", etc. So for example, if you want a tab at the beginning of the New Testament that doesn't overlap Matthew, you'd have to plan ahead to put that tab first, before you put the tab for Matthew. In other words, look at all the tabs before you put any of them on, so you have a "plan" and it turns out right.

2. These come with an alignment sheet. Hint - align the top of the tab with the top arrow. My mistake was that I tried to "center" the tab. Since I eyeballed the whole thing, my tabs are sort of all over the place. If you align the top of the tab with the top arrow in the alignment sheet, it'll come out a lot more uniform.

3. Pay attention as you put them on. I was trying to hold a conversation at the same time I was putting these on, and didn't realize I put two tabs in the same position at first. Got about 10 tabs into it before I noticed my mistake. It is possible to remove the tab once it's on, just take it slow and carefully. But better not to have to in the first place.

Note - there are no tabs for the Apocrypha. I labeled mine with the "Special" tab, but you won't be able to label each individual book.

It took some attention to detail to get these applied properly, but I think they are there to stay. This seems to be a good, sturdy product that will last.

I wish I had read these reviews before I ordered. I started putting the tabs on my new Bible, and realized too late that the tabs for Tobit, Judith, Baruch, Maccabees etc., are missing. Now I am very angry. I need to get these exact same tabs for Catholic Bibles. Where can I get them, since I cannot rely on Amazon to provide accurate discriptions of the products they sell on their website. Why is it assumed that the only people who would order this stuff are Protestant? Amazon, need help here.

No longer do I need to feel like the dork who has to thumb through the Bible looking for the right book! The tabs work great!

These tags make it easy to grow more familiar with the bible for the new bible study student. I love them.

The tabs are great value and easy to put on. they make finding the books of the bible easier and faster.
