I have fixed 2 dishwashers (one had a valve stuck, one needed a new pump) 2 refrigerators, a dryer (replaced the belt), 2 clothes washers, and a partridge in a pear tree. Just kidding about the partridge, although with this book, if it had a problem, you could fix it. The information is great, clear and very easy to follow. I have a washer that needs repair now, and I can't find my book! I'm having to buy another copy. My husband wants me to find a newer version, but I don't see one, so I'm getting this one. The reader's digest fix it yourself book is AWFUL. The basic mechanics have not changed, so this book, although it seems old, still enables you to fix appliances. The only choice I'm having to make now is whether to buy this one or the larger version that has this book and others in one huge volume.

A think 150 page book had answered so many of my questions about appliance repair, I am at loss of words ! I have not come across a book like this yet from the many I have searched and bought ! Wow, this is how it used to be before the industry decided to mystify the repairs and make people believe that they need a technician !
