The Novice-Cook Kitchen Destruction Team gave the book three-and-a-half stars out of five ("instructions generally clear; lots of chopping, grating and mixing"). Close neighbours reported the aroma-therapy value for appetite stimulation as very high. Very authentic and true to Malaysian cuisine,

I've been to Penang and middle Malaysia many times and this cookbook is a great summary of the foods found there. The recipes are easier to prepare than you think. All you need to do is find a local Asian market and all ingredients are available.
Highly recommended to achieve that great mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Thai tastes.
