Wonderful healthy recipes. I love Tamra Davis' thoughtful recipes and anecdotes. Not much photography, but a stellar book nonetheless. Thank you for writing this and contributing to my kitchen!

I am a big fan of the tamradaviscookingshow and have made more than a dozen recipes from this book. Although the look and name of the book could lead you to believe that this is a cookbook for only kid-friendly meals; everything I have made has been a hit with many adult dinner guests. Love, love, love the zucchini-corn-goat cheese enchiladas. They are a family staple now. The quick and delicious salads and sandwiches are treats I whip up after a trip to farmer's market. My kids keep requesting the zucchini muffins/cupcakes. I would recommend that you should be a fairly experienced cook who knows how to figure things out, because Tamra assumes you have basic cooking knowledge. Think of it as a book a friend put together to help you make some great, healthy, very tasty meals.

Tamra Davis has finally written the cookbook that busy moms who love food, healthy living and happy kids have been waiting for. I use this cookbook all the time to give my two little boys something good (usually delicious!) to eat, and I never feel intimidated or overwhelmed by the yummy, straightforward recipes. Also since I've been using this cookbook I throw out less food, as it gives me great ideas about how to use everything in the fridge. In that way it's a really smart book for tough times. If you have any questions you can also check out Davis' website to see how she actually does it with two boys, a big career and a rockstar hubby. And Gwyneth gave her a great write-up on GOOP: [...]
