I'm recreating my old homestead (circa 1904) in miniature. John Davenport's book, "How to Make Miniature Furniture" is wonderful. Since I have been able to find some of the pieces of antique furniture from my childhood home, but not others, I was delighted to find this book. It gives complete instructions on making your own. This is a great asset for me, so that I can Learn how to make miniature furniture and then using that new skill to make exact replicas from the actual pieces that now adorn my daughter's home and also from photographs that I've saved through the years. If you are trying to do a similar project and you have been unable to find what you want on the miniature sites (although I have found several pieces there), you can do yourself a favor
by turning to AMAZON for this book, "How to Make Miniature Furniture". The book arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I am so pleased with AMAZON, because even when a book is out of print, you can often find it on the AMAZON site from the booksellers they offer across the USA! |
