Included in the 121 ways are outdoor and indoor activities; so the ideas are good for rainy days and sunny days too. And you can also manage your time as needed as there are activities that can be done in a few hours, the whole day, or over the weekend.
I also like that some of the suggestions presented in this book encourage resourcefulness in children. And there are worthy causes too; so it’s not just a book that’s focused on fun and useless entertainment. It allows children to become more responsible and caring about their surroundings and the people around them as well.
My children are already excited to try out some of the 121 things that we can do together. This is a very useful book!
▲ Visit a working farm. Sounds like fun--honestly, I would never have dreamed of doing that.
▲ Free Kids Bowling. Had no idea there was such a free thing.
▲ Watch horse racing. Okay, even I have done that.
▲ Watch a pro-sports team practice. Yes, but they've all moved to Arizona!
▲ Watch a minor-league team.
▲ Build a slip and slide. Very creative idea!
In sum, excellent book with huge number of different ways to have fun with your family. There are lots of references, including TONS of useful links.
√ Highly Recommend!
I love that the activities are budget friendly, and a lot of them you can do whenever you want with little to no prep. They are awesome for those days when your children chime, " I'm boooooored!!".
