Better than Shingeo Shingo's book on ZQC/poke yoke, November 6, 2008
This review is from: Make No Mistake!: An Outcome-Based Approach to Mistake-Proofing (Hardcover)
This is a very extensive book. The policy behind poke yoke is described well and compared with six sigma SPC approach. Unfortunately like most poke yoke books it is based upon automotive (batch) production. Half of the books is examples which is good however here most examples are on jigs and not the more modern sensor approach.
At the end of the book there is a very usefull section on possible poke yoke sensors and a list of suppliers. This part makes the book more up to date than other poke yoke books. However I think that even this book is a little behind the current available poke yoke devices.

Reccommended for those studying lean operations, the work is easy to read and extends the thinking on the issues, with great examples of poka-yoke devices that can be used almost anywhere.
