Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Previously sold only in popular coast-to-coast seminars, this book is chock full of information about how to make money with a camcorder. It has a proven appeal to people from all walks of life.

From the Publisher
As a small publisher of trade books, we see a lot of ideas. We at Videobizz.biz think that Raymond Hutchins has a winning idea and a winning book on his hands. The time is right to enter the video business. With Video-on-Demand being rolled out around the world even as you read this...the demand for video content is going to EXPLODE over the next ten years.

Here are 14 reasons why we think the timing is right for going into this business NOW.

1.The demand for digital video products is radically increasing.

2.The skills and educational foundation necessary are quickly attainable by someone of any age, sex, or race.

3.Once the educational foundation is acquired, minimal effort is required to maintain competency.

4.The business can be started and operated for relatively little money.

5.The business can be a home-based business.

6.There exists virtually unlimited potential subject matter for development into saleable products.

7.Due to the technology, products can be produced for relatively small amounts of money and, once produced, they can be cheaply re-produced; thereby creating high profit margins on each unit sold.

8.Products are stored digitally, therefore taking up practically no physical space, and never deteriorating over time.

9.Once created, digital video products can be easily updated as necessary and sold repeatedly over long periods of time, thus creating long-term residual income.

10.Very shortly, the technology will make it possible for all digital products to be much more easily delivered over the internet—at much faster speeds, thereby eliminating the need to ship and handle a physical product, and exponentially increasing distribution opportunities.

11.Digital video information products are intellectual property, which have legal protection, thereby making direct competition more difficult.

12.Numerous potential product and income opportunities exist, allowing anyone to develop multiple channels of income.

13.The nature of this information-based business is such that its potential is limited only by a person’s creativity and willingness to work.

14.And last, but certainly not least…video is a fun business. Plus, who knows, you may one day end up making a movie that will be seen by millions of people. Legions of talented directors and producers have gone before you…who knows, you may be joining them someday!

HOW TO MAKE REAL MONEY WITH YOUR VIDEO CAMERA will teach you all about this and much more. It will pay for itself countless times.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT resource!, September 11, 2007

Can't say enuf about the excellent in-depth knowledge about the video business that's contained in this book. It's not like any of the other video books I've read, which mostly focus on the production side and only talk about how to shoot footage, not what to do with it afterwards. I now know exactly how to sell my videos and how to market myself and increase my profits. I make documentary-style shorts, and this book was full of how-to's and clever suggestions I would never have thought of.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny!, August 21, 2007
Before I got this book, I wondered if the info in it would be dated, since video's such a hot field and the book was published in '03. No worries! What I wanted and couldn't find anywhere else, I found here: plenty of innovative ideas and advice about how to turn my hobby into a full time business. I already knew how to operate a camera and edit and where to get info on the latest equipment and gizmos, so what I needed was the business side. I have to say this book literally launched me. I'm now making website videos for all kinds of people. Broadband has made this possible, and the demand is increasing because nobody can afford to have a dull web presence. My customers run the gamut from regular businesses with sizeable commercial sites to individual resume videos to artsy band gigs. This book showed me exactly how to do it. I highlighted practically every page in it and now I'm making a living doing what I love.

1.0 out of 5 stars BAD, May 28, 2005
By Interrupt "Interrupt" (Tecumseh, MI USA) - See all my reviews
Useless book. This book is mostly an ad for the author's website, and the website is a big ad for the book. This book offers no new ideas, or even any tips. This is the kind of rubish that is weakening the video production business. According to this book any one can go out with their cheap $300 camera and make professional video, WRONG! It is this kind of thinking that makes for horrible clients and is shrinking the market. This book shows no respect for those of us that truely respect the medium.
