This is an excellent album for an excellent cause. Most tracks do justice to the original (though very different). This verision also includes the superior a-ha version of #9 Dream.

I purchased this CD because I love John Lennon, I support the cause and Regina Spektor sings in it. Most of the covers are very good, some are typical cover songs (you know, people accentuating parts of the song that weren't in the original to make them their own, blah...Black Eyed Peas for example). But if you can skip through those, you'll hear some great performances by Elvis Costello, Regina Spektor, Christina Aguilera, Jakob Dylan, Dhani Harrison, Corinne Bailey Rae...
