Krystal Meyers does it again...only with something new!,
By Aaron Felker (Pennsylvania, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Make Some Noise (Audio CD)
I've loved Krystal's music since I first heard it. When I found out she was going for a different style this time around, I was a little worried her voice would just become the disposable, recycled stuff that is so often passed off as entertainment. I was happily surprised. Think 80's dance music with a modern twist. Krystal's voice has improved and she shows more range this time around. The songs themselves are irresistibly catchy and fun, while still having a deeper underlying message. If you're a Krystal Meyers fan, you'll love this. If you aren't a fan, you'll soon become one.
MUST HAVE songs: "Make Some Noise", "My Freedom", "Shine", and "Feels So Right".

I have been Krystal Meyers fan since I heard the song "The Beauty of Grace" and I have all of her studio albums. This album is Krystal's third one. It may not be need to say it but let's say it: She is a Christian singer and the lyrics are mostly about God. She had made two great albums and they reminded me of Avril Lavigne. She has long been thought to be "A Christian version of Avril" but after this album "Make Some Noise" I see it differently. She's not a copy of Avril anymore, if she ever was. The new album is full of great disco rock songs. I know it may sound bad in your ears (the term) but actually the music in this album is great! I love every song in this album! Krystal's voice is incredible and the lyrics are awesome! The songs are awesome! At first I didn't like 'em so much but after listening to more than 5 times I realized that they are GREAT! She has attitude! I really enjoy listening to this 36-minute album.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Make Some Noise (Audio CD)
Seriously, Krystal Meyers is A HIT!! If you don't have this CD yet, get it, I tell you!! The music is totally cool and kind of creepy at first, and when they tie in with the lyrics it really gives me a mysterious feeling.
1. Make Some Noise 10/10 - I could listen to this song over and over and over again, it's THAT good! I love it! 2. Love it Away 10/10 - a fantastic song, THUMBS UP! It's really comforting if you're sad and still appropriate for when you're feeling happy. 3. Shine 9/10 - this song makes me dance and sing along. It is totally the story of me and my friends. Definately recommend for awesome-loving people :) 4. S.O.S 10/10 - a very emotional song about calling to God for help, it gave me the shivers listening to it!! 5. Feel So Right 8/10 - I would give this nine out of ten but it just seemed like something was missing, just a little. However the rest of it is awesome! Very cool, punky and fun, enjoy! 6. My Freedom 7/10 - didn't like this one at first but it grows on you. Real dramatic, too. A nice shot. 7. Beautiful Tonight 10/10 - AWESOME!! It sounds kind of creepy when you first listen to it but I absolutely love that feeling! It's hard to describe but she's asking God a lot of things and there's a lot of emotion put into this one, drama too! 8. Up To You 7/10 - I think this is like some boyfriend and girlfriend who broke up, and the girl is missing her guy and telling him she'll learn to forgive. A good beat to the song but it's depressing and made me sad. 9. You'll Never Know 10/10 - one of the greatest on this album. It's telling how God took care of her and she'll never be without Him! She always has him, so "the tragedy of being so alone, that's just something you'll never know!" 10. In Your Hands - real comforting and makes you feel safe. It's all in God's hands and you have nothing to worry about because He's got a plan! Definately a five-star album. You go, Krystal!

Great release from a christian artist!,

I first saw krystal meyer in concert 4 or 5 years ago, when she first hit it big onto the christian music scene. At first, I thought she was a total rip off of Avril Lavenge. I thought it was horrible, cheesy and not that great. A few years later, new release tuesday said she was coming out with a totally different sound. So I checked out the yahoo music video, and people had strong reactions to it. Both good and bad. But when I first heard the single Make some Noise I thought Wow! This is truly great when a christian artist can make good pop music in a clean way, and still sound just as good if not better then britney spears and Christina Aguerla. I seriously think she's gone in the right direction, and there's def. a market for her music since they're aren't to many christian artists that do pop music. It's strickly r and b or rock. I also loved Shine, that has to be one of the most experimental songs I've heard in a long time. I also thought Beautiful tonight was an excellent cd! This pop music done in the right way. Reguardless that's it's christian, anybody that like "BlackOut" by Britney Spears or Christina's latest greatest hits cd is gonna love this one. It can def. compare!

Good Christian Rock,

Krystal Meyers has put out another quality CD.
Her lyrics range from subtle Christian messages to more overt ones. The sound of this album is kind of an upbeat pop sound. It is probably more appealing to those who are teens and young 20s than to older listeners. It contains several songs that are quite catchy. I particularly like 'My Freedom', but there are several other good ones as well. Parents have nothing to worry about with the messages contained in this. It is a good pick for a gift for a teenage girl especially.

The fun never ends!!,

Unlike other mondern music this album really brings in the diverse styles of our day and age. It's entetaining, touching, danceable, and the best pick-me-up CD if its time. For a real fun time, with clean and uplifting music, but with inovative beats and infectious rythms, this Album is to be purchased, hands down. This maybe Krtysal Meyers' best yet!

My daughter is 9 and past the 'kids sing christian hits' albums. This one is not bad, but too abstract and some older topics for a girl my daughters age. Maybe in a few years...For now "Not Afraid" by Stephanie Smith is more suitable-still rocks, and the lyrics still have a Godly message.

This CD is more pop than rock, so it's not like her previous two CDs. But if you hadn't known she was previously a rocker chick, than you may like this CD since I think it's good danceable pop tunes. But if you like her rock stuff, you'll probably not like it. However, her first two CDs sounds kind of the same, so something new isn't bad. Better than having a third CD the same.

I love this cd
i have all her other music but found this one the most entertaining. The songs are catchy and so is the beat and tune. If you don't like this album dont judge her from this cd. I found her other albums awesome also but were a little different genre than this one so check out her other cds too.

Different Than Before,

This review is from: Make Some Noise (Audio CD)
I could tell from the moment the first track started that her latest CD was different than before. I first was introduced to Krystal Meyers when I randomly bought her CD "Dying for a Heart" as a blind buy. I had never heard of her before. But the moment the first song started I new I would like it and now I absolutely love her music. I enjoyed every one of her tracks. Afterwards, I bought her first CD. I didn't think it was as great as the second and could tell that the style was a little different. Well, the same thing goes with this CD. I could tell from song one that her style was a bit different yet again, and for the better. She seems, "louder", if you know what I mean. She sounds more like a mix of Rihanna and Lady Gaga, along with some Fergie/Gwen Stephani and a Christian rock thing that is all her own (if there are any Rihanna/Lady Gaga/Fergie/Gwen Stefani haters out there, don't let that stop you from getting this CD, it's just my opinion and she has her own style as well). I really like this CD and enjoy it even more than the ones before.
