This has got to be one of the most romantic-sounding holiday cds I have in my collection. Joe's actual holiday album is called "Home is the Essence of Christmas" with 4 additional songs available from iTunes. He clearly demonstrates his vocal versatility and stellar musicianship as these songs were made for all audiences and not just his fans who know him for urban r&b. There is nothing this man can't play or sing. The songs comprise only the simplest, sweetest, smooth jazz sounds, like there's only a piano, bass violin, saxophone and trumpet accompanying him throughout. An ABSOLUTE must-have for grown folks who like dim lighting, snuggling under the covers and waking up early on Sunday mornings with hot cocoa and marshmallows in fuzzy socks watching the snow fall outside.

Joe released this Christmas album back in 2009 which featured the standard Christmas songs "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "The Christmas Song," and "Grown Up Christmas List". Each song is given that Joe flair which are some smooth lush vocals. In addition Joe adds two records for the fans a re-recording album title track which oringally featured a new recording of the title song Profyle and Chico DeBarge and It Ain't Christmas.

I love the music of Joe. When I first saw that he had put out a christmas selection I tried to find it as quick as I could. Upon playing it I was not dissatisfied. I was only upset because it did not contain more selections. I believed Joe just teases you into the holiday spirit only to have you wish for more.

This Item was not NEW and opened...When I contacted the seller he stated that he knew for certain the item was new unopen...It was to be a gift but I ended up keeping it for myself.
