If you head to the workshop rather than the store for solutions to problems, Make is a must have publication. From fun to ingeniously functional, the projects in Make will provide hours of inspiration. Whether inventor, hacker, or do-it-yourself-er, projects and articles featured in Make will inspire your creativity.
War left the country side around Azmeraw Zeleke's home littered with mortar shells. The tools of destruction find a peaceful purpose in Mortar Shells to Coffee Grounds. Do you have the skills needed to fail successfully? Making things is a process. Tom Jennings explains how setbacks are really opportunities in Fail Early! Fail Often. I found this article to be inspirational. The Crucible industrial arts school is more timely than ever. Following the Crucible philosophy could utilize a lot of talent that is currently sidelined by economic conditions. A lot of communities could benefit from this model. Make volume 10 has a breadth of articles ranging woodworking, to forging and welding, to explaining how to get started in electronics as a hobby. Embrace your creativity and make something. As has been true with all of the previous editions of "Make" magazine, I have found this one to be captivating to read and leaving me anticipating several new projects to explore.
The production quality of the actual magazine has remained high (it has nice paper, photos, and printing!).
