This book was a godsend for me and my wife
on May 21, 2012
Six months ago, unemployed and with the savings running out, I asked an obviously successful friend for some advice on how I can make some money online. His response? "Amazon FBA." It sounded good, which of course was a good reason to doubt it. I asked him a couple weeks later, and a couple weeks after that. On the third call, he said, "I'm going to tell you the same thing now for the third time. After this, I charge. Amazon FBA." So I looked into it. I read Nathan Holmquist, and I got Chris Green's book, "Retail Arbitrage." I read it, and followed his advice. Along the way, I got Cynthia Stine's book, "Make Thousands on Amazon working Ten Hours a Week . . ." and I'm following her advice too. Except I don't work just ten hours a week.
The result? In our third month of selling on Amazon, we did $14,000 in sales and put about $4,000 in our pockets. Our fourth month will be better, and I can't wait to see what we can do in the fourth quarter.
Another reviewer here wrote that this book was "incredibly overpriced" and smelled like "self-promo" for Chris Green . . . I can understand his reaction, there is just so much BS out there, so many claims of easy riches. Just like that reviewer, it all gets my back up, too. But I can say without qualification, the money I spent on Cynthia and Chris's books, and the money I spend on FBAScout is bringing me a hundredfold, a thousandfold return. Easy riches? Not at all, I have never worked harder. But I'm enjoying myself, and we are building a business that pays the bills, and more.
One more thing- Cynthia writes a blog, and she is incredibly generous with her information. The most daunting aspect of selling online is finding products at low enough prices to make a profit when you re-sell. It is understandable when sellers keep to themselves their best sources, but Cynthia shares this info freely.
If you are in a bind and are looking for a way to pay the bills in a changing economy, or need to make some extra cash, and you are willing to work hard, you are doing yourself a real injustice if you pass this by without giving it a try. And one more thing- if you suspect I am Cynthia's cousin or Chris's mother or a friend or family member just trying to help them sell books, e-mail me with your phone number, I'll be happy to answer any of your questions. My e-mail is my name at hotmail.
